17 MONDAY - FEBRUARY 1975 WASHINGTON'S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION - 48TH DAY - 317 DAYS TO COME

Call from Felicia. She was looking at the p. & p. games that she
will be showing to "Warren Paper Products" today, and she
doesn't have NO WAY back from 3M. She'll show my FOUR and
SUPERGHOSTS and all of Alan Newman's.

To "International Toy Show".

  • Dacoll Games. Took a copy of GOTCHER. (Retail - about $30.)
  • A. Pogue and Co. Took rules for PRESS, also an ad sheet. (Filed in '75 Misc.)
  • Avy's Game Co. RUMMIKUB. Just RUMMY with special tiles. Took

ad sheet. (Filed in '75 Misc.)
To "Statler - Hilton".

  • Innovative Enterprises Corp. Looked at POKER DOTS; <-- (Took Ad sheet.) a board on which players place card tiles, POKER hands in different

directions. Exchanged cards, and he'll send me a review copy.

  • Hippocrene Books, Inc. Didn't notice anything of interest as I

passed. After Fair was over I noticed that Louis Zocchi and
James Dunnigan were listed as being there.

  • Jurisprudence Ltd. Didn't stop since I already have their game

JURISPRUDENCE.

  • Sunnyside Industries, Inc. Looked at PUFF GAME. It is a real

estate game. Money and property is earned by blowing plastic pcs. -
of 3 shapes - so that they turn over and land completely inside
certain spaces. (Very rough idea.)

  • Coach House Games. Took a copy of their one game -

SPIRIT OF AMERICA THE BICENTENNIAL GAMES (with box a little damaged,
one figure missing, and one red card apparently misprinted).
Also took an ad sheet (in box) and a business card.

  • Eltron Game Co. Spoke to Mrs. Glaeser about BLOCK-OFF and she told me

that it hadn't been ready last year. It is just about ready to ship. She
took my card and will send me a copy.

  • Kopptronix Co. KEEP QUIET is their one game. Took rules and other material

(filed in '75 Misc.) Gave my card and they'll send a review copy.

  • David E. Kribs. Spoke to his partner. He told me that the list price of

BEAT THE MARKET is $8.95, and I should list "D. Kribs" as publisher.

  • Skor-Mor Corp. Three new prototypes: DR. LIVINGSTON I PRESUME, ZAP,

and SECRET TELEGRAM. I'll look at them at Stationery Show.

  • Magic Rainbow Co. Ltd. BLACK GOLD - A very simple Rummy Type game

with a board. (Didn't bother getting details.)

  • Fun Games Inc. Looked at: CHUMMY CHECKERS - played similar to HALMA

on a 5 x 5 board. Jumps are compulsory. But there are no captures.
GESSIT - Bet on the turn of a card - rank only counting. On each turn
if 2 play each bets on 6 cards. 4 cards if 3 play; 3 cards if 4 play.
(How do players choose them?) Since the entire deck is used, memory helps.
HOCUS POKER - The board is divided in to four quarters, each one
having the cards (12 I am pretty sure) of one suit set in a quadrille.
Play is something like MICHIGAN RUMMY, with a player having to play
diagonally next to an already played card. After half the field is
covered in this way, the other half is played. There are pots for
completing a quarter (suit) - I believe, and others for playing out all of your
cards. (Rough idea.) We exchanged cards and he is to send this one.
