Call from Claude. He asked me to call Issy Rothman about getting together - either this Friday at Greenwich Village or next Friday at the Rothman's. Said I would. As an alternative BB and I will go to Claude's for a buffet this Thurs.
Mar[l]boro had an ad for WARGAMES THROUGH THE AGES for about $3. It is by Featherstone.
In evening called and spoke to Betty. Date to go there 2/7. Called Claude at home and at his mother's. He'll call me back on whther the date for this Thurs. is on or not.
Rcd. a package from France with 4 "Robert Laffont" games: LE CHEMIN LE PLUS LONG, LE CINQ SUR SEPT, LA BONNE MEMOIRE, and UN NOM POUR UN AUTRE. These were sent thru "Inter Forum" and a sheet stuck in the packing listed 52.50 francs "A votre debit."
Rcd. a letter from Haar Hoolim. Mentioned DOMI LOGIC, ON GUARD, LOGICON - and enclosed repros of the rules & board, BITS, SOLITAIRE [Board], THREE MUSKATEERS, TRIPPPLES ad in SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN - and enclosed a repro, ACQUIRE, FOCUS, STACK-UP, SQUARE DOWN, SHAPE, HALMA, CHINESE CHECKERS, G&P - and enclosed a repro of a letter from Graeme Levin.
Packaged the following copies: S&T #1 to 18 (the 4 "books"),
20 to 28, 30, 31, 34 to 37; MOVES #1 to 7, 15, 16 -- into 4
envelopes. Was charged $1.16 each. Checked the prices at
the information window and discovered that the price is 85¢
for "printed matter" up to 2# and $1.16 up to 4#. (I should
have put it is 3 packages. Sent to Walter Haas.

PENCIL GAMES BY SID SACKSON. I pointed out that this would be like a lot of other books of standard p&p games. We'll probably use something like NEW PENCIL GAMES WITH SHAPES AND COLORS.
