20 MONDAY - JANUARY 1975
20TH DAY - 345 DAYS TO COME
Rcd. two more "Invoices" from Aladdin saying they were shipping 6 each of TOTALLY and INTERSECTION, and 1 each of TRIPPPLES and Deluxe TRIPPPLES.
Call from Felicia. The contract has been signed with Aladdin for BALI and she got her checks in a few days.
She spoke to Ed Schifman and he was upset because things moved so fast on BALI (they will ship in March) that he wasn't involved with the packaging. He also seemed concerned about his own games. I asked, but Felicia didn't inquire about the status of TAKEOVER.
Keith Tuggle sent her a letter stating that 3M is dropping the p&p line. He enclosed three forms for us to sign and return one to him. She'll mail me two of them.
She asked me when Bob Johnson had said we'd get an answer on FOCUS. The end of this month.
She called there to tell Bob that BALI was no longer available (Hallmark had been interested in it). He wasn't in and she left word with his secretary.
She asked me if I had any word from Alex Randolph about whther Hallmark and Ravensburger had signed their contract. I told her that Alex and I no longer correspond. Also that I am not in regular touch with Tom Atwater.
She heard from Ron Weingartner. He will be in, looking for E.S. Lowe during Toy Fair. I'll have JACK POTS 6 ready so that Felicia and I can play it before he comes.
Told Felicia that I am busy working on my book (THE ART OF GAMES). Fabio Coen's name came up and she asked me to send him her regards. She had once shown him some children's stories written by a friend.
A jobber she knew called up to ask about getting BALI. She told him that Aladdin, who did TRIPPPLES, would be putting it out. He said that TRIPPPLES was the world's lousiest game.
Called Oliver Howes, Parker Brothers lawyer (see 1/14). He was interested in knowing where I got my information for the footnote in the Castle edition of AGOG. Told him it was just from Willard Allphin, with whom he is already familiar. He thanked me very pleasantly.
Called Claude. Nothing specifically about games.
Rcd. a U.P.S. pag package with a regular TRIPPPLES, a deluxe
TRIPPPLES (some pcs. didn't fit and one arrow pc. was replaced by
an extra blank - which I drew in), 6 [illegible strikeout] TOTALLY, and 6
INTERSECTION (without the sheet with the variation).
