JANUARY 1975 - SUNDAY 19
SECOND SUNDAY AFTER EPIPHANY - 19TH DAY - 346 DAYS TO COME
Call from Claude. He and Anne visited Issy Rothman & Betty last week. Earl Perel was there but no games were played. Claude suggested to Earl that he prepare a number of games to have something ready when, and if, HASBRO is looking again. Earl doesn't want to do anything until he has everything spelled out by HASBRO.

a good chance of sales to Japan. I mentioned Europe and he said that he had a catalog from Schmidt (or was it FX Schmid?) that was the most attractive he ever saw. I said that I had it. He was amazed that there were so many games listed. He will be coming in for Toy Fair and he asked if I'd have the games ready to show him - and asked how many there were. Told him I thought there were 3, but later checked and it was only HONORABLE RELATIONS and PROFIT. Told him I'd have them ready.
He will have some new things he is working on to show me. They will have about 500 samples of BALI ready for Toy Fair. PUSHOVER will also be ready, and he'll probably send me a copy before Toy Fair.
The TV ads for TOTALLY and INTERSECTION will be shown at the fair.
The office of their rep is now in Room 620 F.A.B. - Next to Parker. I asked and he said that it looks like the new approach to TAKEOVER is costing out o.k. and it could be introduced in October.
When he said that things were doing well I asked if the buyer resistance to INTERSECTION had lessened. He said that some still said it didn't have the "intrinsic value" - the parts, not the game. I told him of Felicia's request for a TRIPPPLES. He'll send one of each right out.
When he first picked up the phone he said that it was a coincidence, since he was reading AGOG. The appendix is invaluable.
Looked at the questions on MACARTHUR (see 1/17) and called Bob Gellman. He said he'd call me back.
Rcd. letter from Joaquin Kuhn, an AGOG reader. He has a game that "Games Research" wants to look at. He asks for info on royalties.
Rcd. the NO WAY return letters which Keith Tuggle sent to Felicia. He asked for return of a fully signed copy, but he only signed one. I'll call Felicia tomorrow about it.
Sent the TAKE FIVE rule repros (which I got on Boston Road) to Sister Marie Magdelan (see 1/8).
