JANUARY 1975 - WEDNESDAY 15
MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. BORN 1929 - 15TH DAY - 350 DAYS TO COME
At Rizzoli bought LO SCOPONE SCIENTIFICO (for 2,200 L.)
On Corso bought ALTA FINANZA (4,600 L.). By "Alma" - listing of all the
many of the game previously notes, plus two "Novita" - TURISCHIO and
PHOTO PRESS. Bought IF-IL GIOCO DEL "SE" (1,800 L.) - which is obviously
a steal of Claude's WATCH. (There is one extra piece.)
At Upim on Tritone bought GIOCO DEL CALCIO (3,000 L.). On instructions it is also called BALL-BALL.
Thought of an idea for SPRINGER. Set a minimum total for a winning chain - such as 13. Variations can be played with higher or lower totals. With this there is no necessity of having different sized triangles. Along the short side change one of the 4s to a 5.
Rcd. a telephone call from Phil Orbanes. No message.
Rcd. form letter and card from Zeke Rose inviting me to see the Ideal line at Toy Fair.
Rcd. PLAYTHINGS (Jan.) News story on THE MONOPOLY BOOK.
Rcd. a package from "Editions Robert Laffont" with BLOCUS and LE TROIKER. The latter is a duplicate.

I said that I was sorry that I hadn't shown him some of my
financial games before that they became interested in this one.
He said not to be, since they are only considering it because it was
successful in Europe. (we exchanged cards).
Arranged to meet Jerry at 5.
To Felicia bringing her the catalogs I picked up for her. Told her about Edu-Cards going into family games. She'll contact Shelly Lieberman.
I asked her when she would be seeing Warren Paper Products. She already saw them. They took 16 of Alan Newman's p&p games and my FOUR and SUPERGHOSTS. She was very uncommunicative over their acceptance of the games.
She told me that she had a meeting with Lawless of Hasbro and that she'll be showing him things in April. He wants games that run for at least an hour. I mentioned Ned Strongin and showed her Wald's and Claude's games in the catalog. Then I told her that I sold one for $5,000 that they didn't publish - also that they refused to pay royalties. She was very angry and said she couldn't trust me. Who else was a dealing with? I told her that I was considering doing some very "egg-head" games for Graeme Levin. She sniffed at that. Also there
