352ND DAY - 13 DAYS TO COME

On "All Things Considered" on radio they mentioned COMMUNITY as

a game of cooperation rather than competition. (see 2/20.)

wants me to answer the writer and also to get the diagrams to him so that he can make repros to include with new games and to send to complainers.

He will call me tomorrow to talk about this and some other things.

one time. (Advanced players can increase this.) When there are no spaces available with the proper number of dots, a player loses his turn. When an area is completed, the player completing it scores one point for each space in the area with an opponent's color.

Call from Bob Champer. He'll be over on 12/23 to bring me the WASHINGTON maps he has reproduced. He'll have supper and we'll kick around some ideas.

He asked, and I said that Bob Gellman had promised to pay us before the end of the year.

Rcd. a call from Peggy Anderson of the NEWS. She got my name from Mike Alber. She is doing a piece on businesses that do well during a depression and she is checking on the saying that games do. Rapped awhile and she seemed a little interested in my collection. She asked if a New York paper had written me and my collection up recently. Not since about '66 - except for the mention in the TIMES.

I asked when the piece she called on will run. About the middle of February.

Played two games of CHARADES, divided into teams (me, Anne, Morty, and Richie against the others). Fun.

Gave a copy of ACQUIRE for the Soucie family. Also the two templates to Claude. Gave Marty LIE, CHEAT & STEAL. Mary Ellen was interested in a game too. I suggested SLEUTH but a number of people in their crowd have it. Then gave her VENTURE in a perfume box.

Claude has a date Monday to show RAZZLE DAZZLE to HASBRO. Also Wald and his ripoff game.

Had some ideas for WASHINGTON. Dice throw to get French help. Harder at New York than at Yorktown. A lot to go on this still.
