Call from Felicia. Bob Johnson is coming tomorrow to
spend hours with her. She asked about the date of the
FOCUS contract. (Later I found that it was 1/12/73 and I called
her back.
Told her that I will be doing another book and also that it is o.k. for
me to do a book on request from another publisher.
She told me about an article in the TIMES in the form of a letter
to Santa complaining about, among other things games with
names like DIPLOMACY, INFLUENCE, ACQUIRE, TREACHERY, GO FOR BROKE,
BLITZKRIEG, and STONEWALL.
She rcd. [received] an attractive gift from Keith Tuggle of a box full of various
3M products.
At Post Office mailed PATROL, STARFORCE, and STRATEGY I to Walter Haas - $1.90.
From Adele's TIMES mag. of 21/15 took an article "Crazy in Toyland." All about toys except for a short mention of THE GAME OF LIFE (M.B.) [Milton Bradley] (Discarded.)
Rcd. [received] a holiday card from the Richter's.
Rcd. [received] a catalog from Lou Zocchi with a very complete listing of

Rcd. [received] TOYS (Dec. [December]). Ad for BLOCK-OFF saying it can be played either in
a variation for the "thinking man" or one for the "daring man."
In a feature article on games and Aladdin representative says they
are introducing four new items. Richard D. Christianson of 3M
expects an increase of at least 10% in game sales in '75 [1975].
Rcd. [received] an envelope (15¢ postage due) from Phil Orbanes. In it was
some "Gamut of Games" stationary and a copy of a letter [illegible strikeout]
from a purchaser of THE SIX PACK OF PAPER AND PENCIL GAMES. She
liked the games, but the illustrations for SPY are missing. I
checked and they were missing. Called Phil and he knows. He
