Pathmark had more 5x3 index cards at 25¢. Bought 20.

Rcd. [received] x'mas [Christmas] cards from George Bredehorn's and Stan Chess.
Rcd. [received] letter from Eric W. Naiburg about having my agent sell his VECTOR and CARAPACE.

Call from Bob Champer. In connection with WASHINGTON, he took out a book from the Queens library - "Major Battles & Campaigns of the American Revolution" by King. He has made repros of maps from this and also from "West Point Atlas of American Wars."

She hears that Jesse Hurley, who invented and put out ZODIAC STAR CHESS is suing S&R. (About what?)

Ed Schifman came in. Felicia asked him about B-O-C-Q. He didn't have it - no one told him to bring it. He didn't remember the details, but only BRACKET was found to be of interest. He'll write with more info.
He had a model (with a heavy aluminum board) of PUSHOVER. It looked good. It will be introduced in Feb. '75 [February 1975] and will list for $4.95. I asked Ed if they had the rules for the solitaire included. He made a note to check.
He had a model of his game BARRIER which is also due for introduction in Feb. '75 [February 1975]. The two rows in the center are hollow to allow placement of 16 directional tiles. Each player has 8-7 of each direction - and they are place alternately in any open position.

Play is similar to CHECKERS but all spaces are used. A "man move forward, straight or diagonally. A "crown" is obtained by turning the transparent man upside down, when the opposite end is reached. A crown can move is [in] any of the 8 directions. A pc. [piece] on one of the "barrier" spaces must move or jump only in one of the two directions indicated. A man can move backwards or sideways from a barrier space. Jumping is as in checkers, but is not forced.
Played a game with him and it played quite well.
He also had a model for his game QUADRANT. There are 64
