NOVEMBER 1974 - TUESDAY 19
323RD DAY - 42 DAYS TO COME

Called the John Gambling program. My interview was played Saturday early, but it will be run again in the 9 A.M. segment. I will be informed in advance.

Called Leonard Willett. He'll start work on a Keough Plan for me. Funds can be removed starting at age 59 1/2.

Call from Bob Gellman with more questions on WEEKEND IN VEGAS. He wants me to come there within a month or so to see what he has done with the spinner.

Told him about HIGH STAKES. He knows about it. It sells for about $15 and he doesn't think it does as much as his game.

Call from Herbert Baus. He had a pleasant meeting with Felicia (but he didn't really tell me her reaction to his games). Before going to Felicia he called S&R and got nowhere.

will get us together to discuss it. I asked about the timing. He hopes to have a mock-up ready for Toy Fair. If I havethe game ready by the end of the year, he'll be able to accomplish this. I asked if he could get me a copy of THE MEMORY BOOK. He told me to buy a copy myself and then bill him.

In Bob's office he had a copy of a wooden game called TRAPT. The board has 24 holes as shown. [drawing of board] Each player has one "Knight" and 4 "Pegs," as shown - at the start. Each player in turn moves his Knight first, so that at least one new space is covered, and can be turned over if reg desired. Then one of his pegs is moved. Object is to make it impossible for the opponent to move his Knight. (Company is "Gamut Games Inc.," Louisville, Kentucky.) I told Bob that this was an elaboration on THE L GAME. It was sent to him by the company, who would like him to put it out. He is not going to.

I asked and Bob gave me a copy of TA KAI.

Spoke to Mannie Lefkowitz. He returned TWICE AS HARD to me. It is not "different" enough.

Bob mentioned that it was a good write up of me in COSMOPOLITAN Magazine (Dec. '74). Told him that I didn't know it was out, the initial interview having taken place a long time ago. Bob ran off a repro for me. (By Ira Mothner.)

Mentioned were: BILLIONAIRE, CHUTZPAH, ACQUIRE, SEDUCTION, LIE, CHEAT & STEAL, WOMAN & MAN, THE GODFATHER GAME, JOHNATHON LIVINGSTON SEAGULL, THE DIET GAME, RINK RISK, PARCHEESI,
