NOVEMBER 1974 - SUNDAY 17
TWENTY-FOURTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST - 321ST DAY - 44 DAYS TO COME
BB with Dana & Edith to 3 bazaars. They picked up some pads, type correction rolls, and air mail envelopes. Also a duplicate [illegible strikeout] copy of EGO for 75¢.
In afternoon to 2 bazaars in Queens, with the 3 of them. Edith bought a plastic CHESS table. She got part of [illegible strikeout] a chess set and a complete CHECKERS set, which she gave me.
Sunday TIMES had "Benson & Hedges" contest with 100 pictures of various items. Got two sets and put them away for possible game material.
Thought of some changes into JACK POTS 6. Eliminate the
"Sevens" and "Doubles" jack pots. Take off the Use 16 4-marker
cards and play until all are taken. With a double, pay two
units to that jackpot and take another turn. With a 7, each
opponent pays a unit to each of the jackpots, instead of
the player. A 6 allows the player to put his marker in any
empty space (instead of the use of the 6 in TAM-BIT). When
a player takes a jackpot, he takes off the 4 markers (which
I didn't do yesterday). Played much better than last night,
when we played with the Horn's. Played to an exciting climax as
the last jackpot built up.

NEWTOWN , REALM, CONFRONTATION, STRATEGY, KINGMAKER, HALLO BOSS, PLAYBOSS, Harold Totten, SPECTRUM.
Call from Ralph Anspach. Primarily he wanted to know what the "standard" royalty rate is. Told him 5% - or less. He is going to "license" ANTI-MONOPOLY to the company he originally started. He'll take 5% or possibly less.
He met the man who showed MONOPOLY to Charles Darrow. Wouldn't give his name and I certainly didn't push him.
I asked him about his reference to FINANCE. He said that this is a game that was out before MONOPOLY, altho Parker tries to give the impression that it a simplification - as I thought. It is now put out as FINANCE; my reference to it is FINANCE AND FORTUNE. (He never did explain his reference to it.) He rcd. the INFLATION rules.
Three calls from Felicia.
(I) Rappaports says that business is back bad and the won't take TRIPPPLES
INTERSECTION and TOTALLY before x'mas - but will after.
TRIPPPLES is just doing fair.
Her answering service told her of two calls from Herbert Baus who mentioned me. Told her about him.
(II) Is B-O-C-Q at Aladdin? Checked diary and told her yes. Told her that I got the letter from Bob Gellman concerning "House of Games."
