16 SATURDAY - NOVEMBER 1974
320TH DAY - 45 DAYS TO COME

Rcd. a letter from Ed Schifman. Mentioned PUSHOVER, INTERSECTION, THE BRAIN GAME, TAKEOVER!.

Made a board, set of cards, square cardboard pieces for JACK POTS 8. Took 7/8" chips for markers.

Played with the Laurence's. Used 14 cards with 4-marker configurations and 8 with the 5-marker configurations, Put 2 of the latter in each of the pools - "Sevens" and "Doubles." Played until 5 of latter were used, and kept reusing the 4-marker cards. It was rather long and didn't build to a climax.

Showed them INTERSECTION and TOTALLY. They said that the packaging was lousey. BB agreed, at least about INTERSECTION - and then brought down THE SIX PACK OF PAPER AND PENCIL GAMES to show them something even worse. (I felt very depressed.)

(III) She wrote to Ron Weingartner of E.S. Lowe telling him that I had a great "Lottery" game (THE WINNING TICKET). Told her that JACK POTS 6 is coming along very well, that I can finalize it when she lets me know he is coming in. Suggested that SHAPE & SHATTER would be good to show him. She agreed.

Three calls from Bob Gellman about WEEKEND IN VEGAS. I told him that in WASHINGTON it will be difficult to give him the equipment until the game is devised. By the end of the year is o.k. Told him that I rcd. the box blurb and it was o.k.

On TV saw a Jerry Lewis ad for HASBRO's HIGH STAKES. It is similar in concept to WEEKEND IN VEGAS. [Started 11/18]

(cont. from 11/20) [11/21]

Jerry D'Arcey, in his call, told me that he is getting a large consulting fee for working on an electronic GAME similar to ODYSSEY - but about half the price. (Confidential.) [Started 11/21]
