Call from Felicia. She saw the TIMES article and knew I'd be
unhappy with the mention of ACQUIRE.
Told her that Dick Harris had not seen LOTTERY (see 2/21/73). Also told her that I was working on a fun type gambling GAME (no reaction from her).
The head of Tudor has taken RACE SLALOM 1 DOWNHILL 2. It will be changed to a tabletop game.
Rcd. a call from Mr. McEvilly of the John Gambling radio program (WOR). They saw the TIMES article and would like to tape a telephone interview with me. Set 9 A.M. on this Weds. He promised to let me know before it is run.
His number in case I have to contact them is 764-6823
Started drawing a sketch for a board for the TAM-BIT gambling GAME.
Call from Alan Newman. In Brentano's he saw all the "Gamut of Games" games, except the 6 PACK OF PAPER & PENCIL GAMES. He told the salesman that this was the best in the line and the salesman said he's take it up with the buyer. I thanked Alan. I also told him not to buy one - I'll give him one as soon as I get a supply.
Alan bought a copy of a game JURISPRUDENCE at Macy's. It is not very good and he will give it to me - probably leaving it at Felicia's. It is played with a set of cards that have info on them. Once played they really can't be used again. The manufacturer - an independent - says that another set will be coming out.
Alan is working on writing now, rather than games. The only thing he is working on now in games in ASSEMBLY LINE. He got it out in a hurry for a meeting Felicia had with M.B. [Milton Bradley]. They took it with them, but returned it in a hurry. He is improving it to show to Parker.
Both busy, so no date set up.
