NOVEMBER 1974 - TUESDAY 5
ELECTION DAY - 309TH DAY - 56 DAYS TO COME
To Canal St. At "Holland Cut Rate Stationery" bought 1975 game diary for $1.95 plus tax. At "Aero Stationery Co." bought 14 packages of 5" x 3" lined colored index cards - imperfect - at 19 [cents] each plus tax. Walked to 23rd St. and on way in "Rose Station. & Print, Corp" bought 9 yellow 8 1/2" x 11" pads - of poor quality - at 10 [cents]. Also bought a jiffy (type) bag for 35 [cents].
To Bob Gellman. Had lunch sent up.
I asked him the name of the PUZZLE inventor (see 11/4) - Ralph Janson.
He showed me the PATTON ad in Toys "R" Us catalog. He said it cost $34.00.
I asked about a contract for PATTON and MACARTHUR in Canada. He said that
it is still not definite. He laughed off the matter that Felicia
mentioned on 10/31.
I asked whether he wants me to give mail order info on PATTON and
MACARTHUR in my EUROPA review. Yes. $12.95 surface mail; $19.95 air mail.
Went over my WEEKEND IN VEGAS comments. Left my marked rules and took a new set.
Worked over the WASHINGTON blurb and roughed one out. He'll have it
typed and mail it to me for comments.
Rcd. [received] the PUSHOVER graphics from Ed Schifman. Not bad.
Terry Seymour sent me two copies ofa picture of me, with a note. (Probably
taken once at Toy Fair, but I'm not sure.)
Rcd. [received] the game ZZIZZ, with a note from Norman Arkawy.
During day BB got a call from Mary Walmsly. She'd like to get together with me to discuss games. She'll call tomorrow.
Phil (Friedman) brought me the clipping on Ralph Anspach and ANTI-MONOPOLY from the 10/20 TIMES.
