11/1 4 MONDAY - NOVEMBER 1974 308TH DAY - 57 DAYS TO COME
Call from Felicia. She rcd. her 3M check - $1,334.52 - but with no covering breakdown, just a statement that it was her 25%
She brought two copies of FOCUS to Bob Gellman.
She She has a meeting with the man who is now handling
E.S. Lowe for M.B. [Milton Bradley] - today.
Played Duplicate INTERSECTION with BB, using a rough "score board." Plays o.k. Actually the score is easier to figure.
Called Ed Schifman. Asked him if he would be interested in Duplicate INTERSECTION. Yes, altho he is not sure that they can cost it into the package. I'll mail him the rules and additional mat'l. sometime this week.
He sent me a copy of the graphics for PUSHOVER. If I have any comment I can call him, collect.
I asked about the new name for THE BRAIN GAME. they prefer ENTERPRISE. When I said that that would make it just another business game he said they'd take of that with the copy.
He liked AGOG, particularly the review appendix - so that he can get an idea of what has been done.
2nd call from Felicia. Ron Weingartner, who looks for M.B.'s [Milton Bradley] educational division and E.S. Lowe division was in. (Don't think he took anything she showed him - but can't remember for sure.)
They will be coming out with 6 new gam GAMES at Toy Fair.
They will be looking at things for '76 thru next May. They are interested in family fun games (not my usual egg-head games Felicia said - he knows of me). In particular they wan something with gambling. Felicia asked if Dick Harris had seen THE WINNING TICKET (LOTTERY). (At home I saw that on 2/21/73 he didn't want to see it because they were working on something of their own.)
Felicia saw an inventor who had a lot of PUZZLES which all seem to be in the public domain. Bob Gellman sent him to her. She forgot his name and asked me to get it from Bob.
She put the NO WAY draft in one of the FOCUS boxes.
She asked me to bug Bob Gellman about a contract covering foreign sales. She was shown an ad for PATTON in "Toys R' Us" catalog.
She asked me about the state of the new name for THE BRAIN GAME. She was upset that they prefer ENTERPRISE and will try to talk "Bud" Thomas into BRAINPOWER.
The head of Tudor is crazy about RACE SLALOM 1 DOWNHILL 2.
Reading on WASHINGTON, but couldn't write the cover blurbs.
Called Claude and spoke to him for a few minutes before he left for work. Said he'd call me. Then spoke to Anne. they are both mad over my reaction to Claude's GAME on 10/31. Before he left Claude said he
