OCTOBER 1974 - FRIDAY 18 ST. LUKE, EVANGELIST - 291ST DAY - 74 DAYS TO COME

Finally rcd. CONFRONTATION from Graeme Levin. (An ad sheet lists the following "Ariel games" by "Philmer Limited":- SOCCER BOSS, WEMBLEY, DIPLOMACY, GO, THE GILLETTE CUP.

On Boston Post bought MASTER SPY (see '72) for $1.97. (A waste of money.)

At John's bought MATTIX for $2.99.

POST had an ad for 22122 - $2.00.

Made new set of pcs. for TRANSFORMATION, using 25 pcs from a "Matchbox Road Building Set," and contact. (Incidentally, some time ago I thought of Roger Ammett as my "alter ego."

(cont. from 10/22) [10/22]

- VIVE LES VACANCES (Edmund Dujardin) (Mar. Apr. 70). No particular comment from Pierre.

- SHERLOCK HOLMES (Capiepa) (see '71 visit file). Very much like CLUEDO.

- LA PETANQUE (Robert Laffont) (Jan. '72). A manipulative game.

- ORDINO CARTE (Hachette) (March-April '72). More a teaching device for programming than a game. Since I said I was interested he will try to send me info.

- LE COUP D'OEIL (Capiepa) (May '72). Realized that this is Pressman's HI-SPOT.

- LES FUGITIFS (Robert Laffont) (May '72). Laffont is sending.

- STRINGO (D'Alleyrac) (Sept. '72). We went over it a little bit Pierre said that the full rules were not clear. One clarification - the heavy line is dotted. (brisee).

- MAGELLAN (Ets Blanche) (Sept. '72). He never heard of it.

- LES VILLAGES (Hachette) (Jan. '73). He brought rules.

- TRI-LASTIC (Gay-Play) (March-April '73). Only 4 pegs in a straight line can be "marked" by a rubber band, equivalent to drawing a straight line along three sides of triangles.

- LA CONQUETE DU PETROLE (Fernand Nathan) (March-April '73). Pierre has no connection with them.

- LES BLINDES (Robert Laffont) (March-April '73). Laffont is sending.

- JEU DE LA BOURSE (Volumetrix) (May '72). Altho he doesn't like the company he will try to get more info for me.

- GANGSTER'S STORY (Edison Giocattoli) (see 9/22/71). He doesn't know anything about this.

- ECHEC AUX CHEVALIERS (see 9/22/71). He has the box but not the rules, which he thought he gave to me. No.

Some other games not in my list of 9/24:-

- KIM-BAC (Edmond Dujardin) (Jan. '72). He'll send info.

- MEDITERRANEE JEU DE HAUTE STRATEGIE (Miro) (March-April '72). It's the same as ROME ET CARTHAGE with some minor changes.

- LE COMPTE EST BON (Robert Laffont). A TV game, but of interest
