OCTOBER 1974 - SATURDAY 12 285TH DAY - 80 DAYS TO COME

Rcd. the FREAKIES box from Phil Orbanes. he'd like the game by Friday of the coming week. The ice cream company may be interested in something instead of THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN.

Rcd. a letter from Carol Peterson. She doesn't know what happened to FOREIGN INTRIGUE, and would like me to send her another model.

Rcd. an envelope from Bob Gellman with a clipping on the upcoming "MacArthur" movie. Also the flyer on MACARTHUR for the "MacArthur Memorial Foundation."

Played FUN CITY with the Horn's. They both liked it and want to play again. I'll have to clear up a few things in the rules - such as with a throw of two of more "Deal" faces a player takes a face down card, not a face up one that he might want. A face always is the first thing taken care off of.

(cont. from 10/15) [10/15]

During day rcd. the promised new set of BIGWIG. Also enclosed was a repro of a newspaper article about THE NUMBERS RACKET GAME.

In evening rcd. call from Ralph Anspach. Actually he called earlier and spoke to BB awhile. He asked about a game called INFLATION and BB said she thought I had it. I checked and found that I had the rules from the Parker archives. He asked me to send him a copy and I agreed. He has info that the company putting this out had won a lawsuit against Parker.

I told him about the game MO-NOP I had found at the Parker Archives.

I asked if he had contacted Williard Allphin; yes.

He mentioned that Gini Scott had mentioned me to him told him that I was an authority on game history. I told him that I was primarily interested in what makes a game play.

He said that he will send me a copy of ANTI-MONOPOLY.

Call from Claude. Again he asked about getting together with Pierre.

Wald would like to have a NYGA meeting. He has come up with a new "rip-off" GAME. (Later he suggested to Claude that each submit their games to HASBRO without splitting. Claude said he doesn't want to change rules in the middle.)

Ralph Anspach gave me his address: [drawn bracket] Ralph Anspach [drawn bracket] 1060 Keith Ave. [drawn bracket] Berkeley, Cal. 94708
