3 THURSDAY - OCTOBER 1974 ST. THERESA - 276TH DAY - 89 DAYS TO COME
Called Fabio Coen. He invited BB and me to supper next Weds. before the game testing session - at a restaurant.
Thought that it might be worth showing FUN CITY, or possibly under the name FIGHT CITY HALL, to Mannie Lefkowitz.
Letter from Tom Atwater. Mentions TRANSFORMATION, with a suggested name CRYSTALYTICS, and HIT THE JACKPOT.
Call from Felicia. She showed Lynn Pressman LONG DISTANCE yesterday and they were both nervous, and couldn't answer some questions over the rules. Pressman will come to Felicia's in a week or so to look at things. We both agree that Pressman's sales are not great and she'll only show things that have had it elsewhere.
She asked if Bob Gellman will be sending her PATTON and MACARTHUR. Told her he was supposed to call me today. He didn't.
She rcd. her NO WAY check from 3M.
Dana rcd. a Christmas catalog from "Miles Kimball." Ads for SUPER CRIBBAGE (Adds greater suspense to point-making by the addition of "traps"; GAME OF FLAGS (52 cards divided into "books" of 4); GOT A MINUTE (7 cubes in a plastic cube. Flip it and make as many words as possible in one minute.); CONNECT FOUR, GOLD RUSH; SMESS; BLOCKHEAD; ETHICS, TRI-OMINOS; THE STOCK MARKET GAME (Whitman); 1776 (A.H.) [Avalon Hill], CHICKADEE POKER; GREAT COMPOSERS GAME (68 cards in 17 "books" of 47. AGONY (42 letter blocks to be placed in 7x6 array with words in both directions); and others.

ends when a player has either four of one type of wealth or
one of each type (can only 2 play?). The one with the highest
value total wins. The discs are turned face up as they are
taken, so a player who is behind will not wait to end the game.
UP THE CHUTE. A pinball type gadget with the shooter in the center
of the bottom. The path is numbered from 1 to 10 with
chutes running off alternately to right and left. There are
3 special dice with numbers from 1 to 10. A player on his
turn throws the dice. He then has 10 balls 6 balls to try and
get the three numbers thrown. How far he pulls back the plunger
influences the distance the ball goes.
If the player gets all three numbers he scores their total doubled. If only one or two, he scores them. (May be a little off in these rules.)
ODDS-ABILITY. A board game. The spaces are squares arranged in a spiral towards the center. In each there are two "tasks"
