9/21 9/25 OCTOBER 1974 - WEDNESDAY 2 275TH DAY - 90 DAYS TO COME

Called Mannie Lefkowitz and he called back. Asked if he'd be interested in TWICE AS HARD. Yes to anything out of wood. I'll call beginning of next week to set a date.

He asked about a mystery GAME and I said that I was thinking about one.

He said that they all love TANGLED WEB but can't see anyway to produce it. No action yet on HOLEY TERROR.

Robert St. Cyr here to look at games (and to have lunch). He mentioned a newspaper article he saw (in Boston, I believe) about an outfit in Hanover, Mass. that is putting out a game called THE NUMBERS RACKET GAME. He said he'd send me a repro of the article.

He told me that the unknown company that is interested in BIGWIG, and a line, wants to buy at least 50,000 of each game but wants it at 4 of retail instead of the usual 1/2 to 4/10. They will spend money on TV and other advertising. They will want a two year exclusive, after which "Explorations" will be free to sell the games as they wish - with the better markup of course. When their deal is completed - hopefully by the middle of October - he will talk to me about royalties, etc.

He took the following games - giving me a receipt: LOTTERY (THE WINNING TICKET), AIRLINE, FREE FORM (I beat him in a quick game), TRAVELINE, PAIR OFF (beat him in this too), SPACE STIX, SPELL BINDER (told him that the name may conflict with SPELLBOUND), and TAM-BIT (we started a game and he liked it a lot).

He looked at the box with HONORABLE RELATIONS and I told him a little about it. He looked in the DIALEMMA box but didn't ask about it. I asked whether they'd be interested in a card business game - PROFIT - and he said possibly in the future. He saw the name and I told him a little about it. Not good as a "family game" we agreed. We played TAKE-A-WORD. He liked it but doesn't think there is enough to put in a box.

They have made some corrections in the BIGWIG board. Also have new tokens that are cheaper to produce. He'll send me a copy for that I'll be up to date.

He promised to keep me constantly posted on what is going on. He prefers that I don't say anything to Felicia until it is definite that the big company will go with the deal.

Dana drove Bob to LaGuardia to catch a shuttle to Boston.

Looked at SCOTLAND YARD and started thinking about how to use what I did on it without taking any parts the other fellow did (see '72).

At dad's, saw heard an ad on radio for a free game of TV FOOTBALL by "International House of Pancakes" - for a $1 purchase. It sounds
