Letter from Haar Hoolim. Mentions ON GUARD, STACK-UP, BARRICADE, DOUBLE, MASTER MIND, SLEUTH, NIM, GAMBLER'S NIM, BACKGAMMON, 3D CHESS.

Received a complimentary copy of WARGAMER'S DIGEST. Seems oriented towards miniatures. There is an ad for a board game THERMOPYLAE. There are also ads for A.H.'s [Avalon Hill] GETTYSBURG and REALM.

Finally rcd. the stationary I ordered on 8/23.

Anthony returned REBOUND.

Call from Mannie Lefkowitz' secretary. She wanted to set a date for next Monday but I wanted to make it Tuesday. He will call me next Monday.

Call from Robert St. Cyr. A large company, which must remain nameless for the present, likes BIGWIG very much and would like to take over "Explorations" and have Explorations prepare a line of games. But the big company will have the final say on the games in the line.

At first I thought that the inventor was supposed to put up money, and then that Explorations would take an agent's fee, but then arrived at the above explanation.

I told St. Cyr that I had an agent (Felicia) who would be involved in the final arrangements, but not necessarily now. Also that she had games by other clients, but I'd like them to look at my games first. He said that they too would like to consider mine first.

He'll consult his partner and then call tomorrow morning to set up a date for next week, for him to come here.

Played TWICE AS HARD with BB. At first we played with turning over a pc. and using it. Then, after turning over a "starter," I put the other 15 pcs. in a straight line, face up. On a turn take a pc. from either end. It added strategy, without being too hard to follow.

Call from Claude to finalize date tomorrow.

Claude treated Earl to a Japanese meal tonight. Earl is depressed, and feels that Claude did him dirt in the HASBRO matter.
