21 SATURDAY - SEPTEMBER 1974 ST. MATTHEW EVANGELIST - 264TH DAY - 101 DAYS TO COME
Brought Harold Saperstein the following games for his birthday: AMERICAN REVOLUTION, FRIGATE, MOSCOW CAMPAIGN, MUSKET & PIKE, and STARFORCE. Also the TANK! extension.
Borrowed two books from him to use for WASHINGTON.

sounded to me a lot like THE CANNONBALL PUZZLE. Herb Roth liked it and had it submitted to Crisloid - the company he represents.
While leaving Felicia's I met Herb Roth and he showed me the puzzle. It is like "Cannonball" tho possibly bigger. I took it apart, and he didn't have the solution. After working on it awhile, left it undone.
He had a pile of the "party" games, such as OFFICE PARTY. I said that if he ever is going to throw them out I'd like to have them. He said he gives them to bazaars. He mentioned that he was sorry that he didn't keep a copy of WHO CAN BEAT NIXON? (At home I checked and found that I had a duplicate. Maybe I can trade.)
To R.G.I. Told Bob Gellman the 3 battles for WASHINGTON and he asked me to write the cover blurbs. Said I would.
Wanted to talk to him about the bulls[?] I found in his WEEKEND IN VEGAS and also about sending PATTON and MACARTHUR to Walter Luc Haas, also to Felicia - but he was busy and I wanted to avoid the rush hour. He promised to call me Thursday.
Incidentally, Alan Newman looked at my game FOREIGN INTRIGUE briefly and said he'd love to play it.
Rcd. the check for $375.00 from 3M as a NO WAY advance. [Started 10/1]

like the one by Itemation Coleco, where players try to predict the
plays that come up while watching TV.
Played 2 games of 500 RUMMY.
While I was out Fabio Coen's secretary called and asked that I call back tomorrow after 9:30.
Rcd. NOST-ALGIA #173. Phil Coen gives rules for NUCLEAR CHESS
