Rcd. letter from Graeme Levin. Asked articles I have written and games he sent me, so that he can see what he owes me. Asked me to do a feature article.

Made up a puzzle game - tentative name TWICE AS HARD. There [drawing of described board] are 16 square - as shown. As a puzzle [drawing of described board] they are to be put together so that each [drawing of described board] line is closed. ((Red lines are an alternate.)) [drawing of described board] As a game each player in turn places [drawing of described board] a square (either turning one up at a times [drawing of described board] time or from a "hand") so that no end is [drawing of described board] cut off. Count number of pcs. connected [drawing of described board] in the solid line, and in the dotted line [drawing of described board] from the piece played. If a loop, of any [drawing of described board] size, is formed with the pc. played, the [drawing of described board] number of that type of line is doubled. [drawing of described board] Play twice with each player going first. [drawing of described board] Or more times if more are playing.

Made a set and it seems o.k.

Call from Felicia. S&R will not pick up the option for BALI. She, of course, was upset. Aladdin (Kelso?) had voiced an interest in it, and I agreed it would be great if they took it.

HONORABLE RELATIONS was returned two weeks ago, according to Bob Johnson, but Felicia still hasn't rcd. it. She said that we should be tough with them. They'll respect us more. I said that they should have insurance on it, and she'll check.

2nd call from Felicia. She spoke to Kelso (who called?) and Aladdin has always liked BALI, but didn't want to interfere with S&R.

She asked him how business was and he said "Just fabulous."

3M sent her a letter asking her to return two copies of the NO WAY contract so that they can initial the change. They included a ph reproduction. (How will that work?) She has pictures and descriptions of games

Showed BB TWICE AS HARD and she tried to solve it for a single type of line. Couldn't, but I did a couple. Played the game and it wasn't bad.
