1 SUNDAY - SEPTEMBER 1974 THIRTEENTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST - 244TH DAY - 121 DAYS TO COME
Rcd. letter from Bop & Rein Koopman in Amsterdam. Enclosed news
paper clipping about the inventor of CARTINO.
Went over the material to bring to Manny Lefkowitz on Tuesday.
DIALEMMA - Solved some of the puzzles myself. The patterns are too hard. I'll need some easier ones.
TANGLED WEB - Decided to bring the smalled [smaller?] one. Solution was missing. Found it in diary and drew it up.
GROOVE.
THE WORM TURNS - Found a 4th solution and added it the [to?] the two finished sets I have. I'll bring both.
HABITAT - Made a new box and some minor repairs on the pcs.
HOLEY TERROR - Made new box.
TOGETHERNESS - When going thru the diaries on this could not find an entry on a solitaire version I devised some time ago. the pcs. are turned face down and then faced one at a time. A turned pc. must be placed next to at least one edge. Object is to form a 6x6 square with each of the three colors completely connected. Tried it myself, and only succeeded once. BB also got hooked. Played the 2-hand game and we both liked it.
Collect call from Dale in Montreal. She couldn't find CHICAGO. She saw RAFLE for about $5 and REPORTAGE for about $6. Tho I had info on both, told her to get them. In another store she saw STRINGO and BLOCUS for about $14 each and I told her not to get them.
Found that I had fairly complete info on BLOCUS from my '71 visit to Pierre Berloquin. STRINGO was in LA REVUE DU JOUET. After considerable study got most of the details.
Dale in her call mentioned ENIGMAKO, but I don't recall whether she said she could or couldn't find it.

didn't know if he knew about the "Gamut" p&p games, so didn't mention them. (Later Phil told me he didn't.)
To Phil Orbanes. Told him in general about my meeting with
Manny. Incidentally Marty Kornblum left Reiss today and
will be working on marketing with "Gamut." Phil feels that
this will cause hard feelings with Reiss. He already had
told me that I should sign any contracts with Reiss myself,
without any mention of I-Q. I said that as far as Felicia
is concerned, all my dealings with Phil or with Reiss are
under the "Gamut of Games" umbrella.
