8/4 AUGUST 1974 - SATURDAY 3 215TH DAY - 150 DAYS TO COME
Rcd. THERMOPYLAE and the UNGAME from 4 Generations.
Harold Saperstein called. Among other things, I checked that the last copy of S&T he had was #42.
At Times Square Stores saw the following games by COLECO, with a mention of Or-Da & Israel: Q-SETS, BARRICADE, MATTIX, and SPELLBOUND. $6.69 each. Also brought a package of 1" x 11/2" self stickers.
At a bazaar bought HOW TO WIN AT DUPLICATE BRIDGE for 10¢.
To Claude's and ate there. Watched THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN
with Claude and Richie while the girls talked.
Played 5-hand RIP-OFF. (Cont. on 8/4)
(cont. from 8/2) [8/2]
for $200,000 - secret, when [drawing of game board]
land on "F" take a "Fortune:
card. The bulk of these
instruct you to look at an
opponent's "Title" card for $100,000.
Some give a choice of looking
at all of an opponent's "Title"
cards for $300,000, Some
win money and less lose
money.
When a player lands on
or nex "R" he throws again
and if he then lands on another
player he can "Rip-Off" a
card from him, either a
"stolen goods" of the ripper-
offer's choice of a "Title" card
at random. If the player has two or less cards, he can't be ripped-off.
When a player lands on or next to an opponent, he can try a
"swindle." He can ask for one of the "Stolen Goods" cards. The
opponent can give it to him to say "Take me to court." The
swindler can then quit or can put another marker in the
court. The swindlee can then quit and give up the card, or can
put his marker in court. If both go to court the swindler
must show a "Title" card for the "Stolen Goods" or he loses
the case and gives $300,000 to the swindlee. If he has
the "Title" and the swindlee does not, the swindler gets the
card and $300,000. If the swindler also has a "Title" card
he keeps the "Stolen Goods" and collects $300,000 from the swindler.
when a player lands on A player can "swindle" more than
one player on a time move if in proper position and can also
do another thing on the same move. If on the same space
as an opponent, throw again.
When a player lands on "start" he can register a set
