7/28 7/25 29 MONDAY - JULY 1974 210TH DAY - 155 DAYS TO COME

Felicia called in the morning and told Dana that she wouldn't be in the office for me to pick up the games (see 7/23 & 7/25). Called later and spoke to BB, to make sure I got the message.

To S.P.I. Howie Barasch gave me some publicity material from Intellect Games. Also a letter from Rod MacKenzie, a Canadian reader who bought a game - CAIDOZ - with no instructions.

Borrowed a book "The War for Independence" to get ideas for WASHINGTON. Howie said that the book with detailed info on battles is "Encyclopedia of the American revolution" by Boatner. S.P.I. does not have a copy.

Took a copy of S&T #45.

At Metropolilan bought an Italian-American Dictionary for $2.75. The binding was slightly bruised.

To Phil Orbanes. Gave him the REALM changed and told him that I had spent 12 hours on it. I'll take the money when I get the money for INFINITY. Took [illegible strikeout] a set of black pcs. for REALM, so that the set is now complete.

I asked about the $100 (see 7/26) I rcd. Phil said it was for REALM in advance - and will probably be more than I'll earn for 1974. A asked about shares for I-Q. Wait until there is something appreciable. (I think this exchange took place today.)

Talked about THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN. It is to be for ages 6 to 10. 2 to 4. Among the special gifts: Run 60 miles an hour; Computer Vision; Super strength; Speed & endurance in water; Ability to take big falls; computer intelligence. [Later I saw the original 1/2 hour program and the computer intelligence doesn't seem correct.)

date 8/12 at 11 a.m. for me to bring him my ideas. (He'll be in California all next week.

I asked him about Andy Luftig and COUNTER INTELLIGENCE. He said that he had looked at it as a personal favor to Bob Reiss, who was interested in a deal with the ad agency that Andy worked for then. (He has his own now.) Phil asked about COUNTER INTELLIGENCE. I said it was a good game and explained how it worked.

Phil said that he'd rather have a sophisticated mystery game, of the type of "Columbo" on TV. Since I have no record of SUSPENSE being used, he'd like that as a name. We'll discuss the project further in September.

As for Felicia showing him items - he definitely doesn't want to see any outside items for the forseeable future.

Gave Phil the rules for THE GOOD EARTH (and forgot to get repros - but I still have the rough set. Discussed the drawings with Al Zygier.

Played 4-hand INFINITY, pack of us playing two hands and made some notes. He liked
