25 THURSDAY - JULY 1974 ST. JAMES APOSTLE - 206TH DAY - 159 DAYS TO COME
Rcd. a letter from Rick Loomis saying that IMPERIALISM will be $8.50 instead of $6.50. Also they will reprint STARLORD and sell it for $5.00.
Rcd. letter from Graeme Levin. He is sending me copies of CONFRONTATION and THE HARE AND THE TORTOISE. He asked about games for him to agent. Mentioned the SLEUTH article. (This crossed with my letter.)

BANG ON! - a dart game. TENEMENT - a simulation. Gamesview of CABBIE, EXPLORATION, ADMIRALS, ESCAPE FROM COLDITZ CASTLE (Vic-Toy), MATHEMATICAL GAMES & PUZZLES by Travor Rice. SCRABBLE article. Ad for WFF 'N PROOF, etc. Forum mentions HEX, CHESS variants, NIM, ZUG, a reader's game - basically a 2-hand CHINESE CHECKERS. An index of issues 1 thru 24. DRAUGHTS article. Advertisements for a book HANDBOOK OF GAMES AND SIMULATIONS EXERCISES; the ad mentions SQUANDER and BINARY DOMINOES. CHESS article. Ad for a book HOW TO CHEAT AT CARDS. Back page ad for SORRY.
Rcd. another bill for TOYS, with advice to ignore it if already paid.
Call from Felicia. Herb Roth gave her copies of BLITZ, MINI-BLITZ, and WOMAN & MAN. She asked if I wanted any. Asked her to hold the first two for me until Monday when I go there.
Thinking about INFINITY and believe I have it pretty well worked out.
Call from Bob Abbott. In G&P #27 there is a mention of a "Game Preserve" somewhere in Penna. Where people can come to play all kinds of simulation games. He would like to go there to get people to play ELEUSIS as a simulation, and asked if I knew where it was. No.
I asked if anything had come with Graeme Levin and EPAMINONDAS. No, and he also hasn't heard anything on ABBOTT'S NEW CARD GAMES.
To has subscribed to SIMULATIONS/GAMING/NEWS and is looking at previous copies he borrowed. Among the games he mentioned GRASSLANDS as playable (see 12/9/72). We spoke about Gini Scott.
