Call from Jerry D'Arcey. In Boston after seeing Bill Dohrmann and Mike McCarthy at Parker. They really liked EASY COME-EASY GO. They are holding TOP DOG for another look. They were interested in a strategy GAME by a client of Jerry's. He told me a little about it. The book consists of 4 squares, each one divided into 25 squares. Each square has a "moving" number, from 1 to 3. Some of the squares also have "scoring" numbers. The "moving" number that of the square a player moves into determines the number of spaces, including diagonally, that the opponent's piece moves. He also brought one of Frank Thibault's games but they didn't care for it.

3M is considering MONOLITH. If they don't take it Jerry would like to put it out himself. Invited Jerry to come here but he was tired and wanted to go home.

Call from Felicia. She tried to reach me yesterday. Schaper sent my review copies of AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLER and LETTER PILE to her. Told her I'd pick them up next Monday. The contract for NO WAY is on the way.

3M is taking another 6 of Alan Newman's p&p games (making 6 total). they are BASEBALL, FOOTBALL PRIVATE EYE, and another GAME she doesn't remember. They are returning Alan's WORD GOLF. I mentioned Alan's B-O-C-Q and I'll look at it Monday.

Call Claude. He was just about finished playing Wald's GAME. It is much simplified. An important feature is forming cartels to increase your Pro profits. But other players can get a cartel busting summons from the court which could be costly to the members of the cartel.

Spoke to Wald and invited him here this coming Friday. He'd like to come and will let me know if he is free.
