9 SUNDAY - JUNE 1974
TRINITY SUNDAY - 160TH DAY - 205 DAYS TO COME

Finished writeup of SHIFTY CHECKERS - with some ideas for variations. Wrote up CONNECT FOUR and UNO, completing the S & T #45 column.
Dale and Larry read the column and liked it.

(cont. [continued] from 6/10) [6/12]

SPRINGER - he thought this one was very difficult, which I disagreed. It is only difficult to play well. Played. He wondered if the numbers in the [triangles] were necessary and I said I thought they were. When Fay made repros [reproductions] he had her make 12 for me. KLEE - He found this difficult to follow and I agreed. We discussed the idea of each player having 8 rows of three colors - 2 each of horizontal, vertical, and the diagonals. These must be duplicated exactly. I'll work on this idea. MIRO - Tried a little of both versions and he thought that this is the most difficult - the one to be described last. Incidentally, I can have one page for the rules of each game.
He will now show the idea to the sales dept. [department], using the notes he took. I will let him know when I have KLEE in shape. I told him that if the sales people have any objections to the play of the games I can always work to their objections.

Played 500 RUMMY with dad and Ilka.
The TIMES book section had an ad in the form of a GA game called THE WEIGHING GAME AND HOW TO WIN IT (Filed in '74 Misc. [1974 miscellaneous])
