5 WEDNESDAY - JUNE 1974
156TH DAY - 209 DAYS TO COME
Rcd. two large envelopes from Haar Hoolim, containing the material he
had submitted to "Edugame '73."
One contained rules, diagrams, and rough models of DIAGONALLED CUBES.
Second contained board, cards, and rules for BINARY SYSTEM;
rules and 1 (of 2) boards for FIND THE LINE; rules and rough
board for MASTERLINE; rules and board (same as FIND THE LINE)
for OH, NO, YOU DON'T or I DOUBT IT.
Rcd. a renewal notice for my TOYS subscription.
Wrote to James Kelso. Sent him my TRIPPPLES review and suggestions
for SPACE BOXES molds. Mentioned THE GAME OF THE GENERALS.
Called Dick Landman at Carter Hall. Supposed to call back but didn't.
Called Douglas Polumbaum at Itemation. Supposed to call back but didn't.
Call from Fabio Coen. Explained why I hadn't been able to get the
game rules written. He has been trying to play them and wants
his memory refreshed. I'll go there next Wednesday, but will call
him in morning to set time for afternoon.
I asked if the games were too difficult for the age level he
was considering - 8 years and up - and he said "No."
Call from Wald. He asked if "Frisbee" is patented. Told him that
it probably is, but he can check by looking at one. He wants to
work on toys instead of games, and has an idea to make a
"Frisbee" fly straighter and further.
Hasbro has returned BALANCE OF POWER to Ned Strongin, who is trying
to place it elsewhere.
Asked him about Howard Wexler but didn't get any info on what
Howard was doing for Wald. Hasbro's THE GREAT ESTATE is Howard's.
Wald is getting $25 for DRAGON from ESQUIRE magazine.
