MAY 1974 - TUESDAY 7
127TH DAY - 238 DAYS TO COME

Rcd. the Hoi Polloi questionnaire back from the accountant
with a space - that they penciled in - for me to sign.
Did and mailed it in.

Rcd. a letter from Graeme Levin with an apology and the
corrected check. Mentioned EXECUTIVE DECISION, PATTON and
HOLIDAY (which he hasn't rcd.), SLEUTH, and the other points
I raised in my letter to him.

Rcd. a letter from Janusz Weychart, who was Lech Pijanowski's
best friend. Lech's son is continuing Lech's work and would
like to continue our exchanges of material. Asked for PLOY,
VENTURE, SLEUTH, and EXECUTIVE DECISION. Lech's son doesn't
write English very well, which is why Weychert wrote.

For some reason thought of the letter I rcd. together with the book
MATH, WRITING, E GAMES (actually I was looking at the pile of letters
that I had to answer) and I couldn't locate it. Decided to call "New York
Review" and I was put threw to Whitney Ellsworth (actually he called me
back). I told him about losing the letter. He said that Herbert Kohl
had wanted the book sent to me and they hoped that I'd review it. Told
him that I had been sick and hadn't read it yet, but that I would
either review it or mention it in my column. (Ellsworth is either the
publisher or an editor - can't remember which.)

Call from Felicia. the head of American Publishing visited her
(not Nancy Rosen) and looked at a few things. He liked LIFE SAVER
and COUGH DROP, but they would be difficult for him to produce. He told
Felicia that actually he is not interested in anything from the outside. He
likes to produce his own things. He was very pleasant.
She went to the "Premium Show." There was a new division of 3M
there - Gifts for "Gifts for Business" run by a Mr. Miller
who had been at Brown & Bigelow (spelling?) for 20 years. Among
other things they had SLEUTH, EXECUTIVE DECISION, and a full
line of sports games. She didn't see the p&p games.
She saw Mary Hilt and said hello.
Business was jumping at the show.
She has a new client, Mike Riley who did ARCHIEBALL and
CANNONBALL for Skor-Mor, and has taken them back. Before coming
to her, he just placed a game with Ideal.
She saw the V.P. of Aladdin (where?) and liked him. Mr. Kelso will
be coming to N.Y. to look at things next week of during Stationary
Show. Will probably call in a day or two to set the date.

Wrote to Robert E. Horn. Mentioned AGOG and sent my S&T column
with review of GUIDE TO SIMULATIONS/GAMES FOR EDUCATION AND TRAINING.
Discussed possibility of working with them.
Wrote to Phil Cohen. Mentioned AGOG. Listed the games in
