4 SATURDAY - MAY 1974
124TH DAY - 241 DAYS TO COME
Letter from Haar Hoolim with another GAME idea. He enclosed a
copy of a lot of material he sent to Martin Gardner concerning
"Magic Squares" made with his "Chinese Matching Cards" - with
the hope of getting a mention for HAAR HOOLIM PERCEPTION GAMES.
At a bazaar bought 14 yards (a little short of) of black contact
at 20¢ a yard. Also pieces of shiny white and shiny green - a
total of 5 yards - also 20¢ a yard. Bought 48 self-stick wall
hangars at 3 for 5¢. Put some on the wall.
Edith gave me some plastic pcs. (same as I got from her before)
that may be useful for a game. She also gave me a copy of a
small magazine [illegible crossed out] SCHOOL VOLUNTEER NEWS with an article
on a volunteer project for packing educational word game kits in
stocking boxes. Among the games that were made up especially for
this project: THE THREE LAYER JIGSAW PUZZLE, WORD BASEBALL,
RACE TO THE TREASURE. (Filed in '74 Misc.)
