APRIL 1974 - MONDAY 29
119TH DAY - 246 DAYS TO COME
Rcd. a publicity form and letter from Christine Butter,
Publicity Manager of Thomas Nelson & Sons, concerning AGOG.
Call from Felicia. She wanted to know the publisher of the
game HIJACKED.
She rcd. a call from Keith Tuggle early this morning. He
is in Binghamton, N.Y. in connection with test marketing of
their p & p games. They are way behind in testing new product -
due to sickness as well as other reasons. They won't have an
answer on FOREIGN INTRIGUE, SUPERGHOSTS, or FOUR by Stationery
Show. Felicia asked and he said that business has been lousy.
He was helpful in the matter of foreign royalties and said
to let him know if we have any problems. Kathy Brooks rcd.
my original letter on SKYSCRAPERS and I should be hearing
from her soon.
2nd call from Felicia. SPECTRUM came back from Hallmark.
Bob Johnson's letter said that it couldn't get test panel
acceptance. No word on HONORABLE RELATIONS.
She rcd. the game she expected from California - thru
Gini Scott. It is called JAC-ANTICS and has something to do
with picking up "jacks" and placing them in specified resting
places. She thinks that Scaper might have liked it.
Denis Ladouceur called her to say that he had fixed up
ZIGGURAT and it is much better now - but he still thinks
that the two of us played bitchelly.
Felicia has a date with <u<Keith Tuggle at 8:30 (during
Stationery Show?) but he wants to talk to her alone.
Called Barbara Heine of ESQUIRE to ask about WIRETAP.
She apologized for the delay and said she'd get it right
out - registered. Told her that that wasn't necessary.
Tried to get Earl. Called Claude to say that I couldn't
reach Earl. Later got calls from both. Set date for
Thursday.
Claude picked up two copies of SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN for me.
Made most of the equipment for the game CONTACTIC.
TIME, in story on Greece, had the following: "KOUMKAN,
a RUMMYlike game adored by Greek housewives, is forbidden
as degenerate." (Issue of 4/29/74.)
