APRIL 1974 - TUESDAY 23
113TH DAY - 252 DAYS TO COME
Rcd. a letter stating that GAF was returning my games &
later rcd. a package thru UPS. Contained material on
JUNGLE RACE, VIEWLINE, THE FAIRY TALE GAME. in various stages
of completion. Also sent rules of an unnamed GAME by some-
one else. (Box with contents placed in basement.)
Call from Felicia. The marketing director at Aladdin who
was so nasty (Poole or something like that) has been
bounced. James Kelso, who we've both heard is very nice, is
now in charge of the game program. Felicia is working on
setting up a date to show him things.
She heard from Nancy Resen of American Publishing. A V.P.
will be coming in to look at new items. No definite date yet.
She is writing to Keith Tuggle asking the status of the
things they have: FOREIGN INTRIGUE, SUPERGHOSTS, FOUR,
and some things by other inventors. I told her that I was
intending to write to Kathy Brooks about SKYSCRAPERS. We
decided it would be better if I did it rather than adding the
question to her letter.
Felicia is fed up with Keith. Among other things, he refuses
to admit that he lost the copy of LUXURY LINER that Felicia
gave him during Toy Fair, even tho Felicia has a witness.
Finished packaging SHAPE AND SHATTER.
Call from Bob Gellman. Tried to check whether Rick Lewis
had made the corrections I found last time. Difficult to
do on the phone so I'll come in tomorrow.

to take the risk.
The inventors of OPTILE came up. They are Bev Cooke
and Mary Walmsly, two Connecticut matrons. Jim hears that they
have also sold to Parker and M.B. [Milton Bradley] Felicia mentioned that
they are socially prominent.
Jim looked at the following and turned them all down
since they were paper, cardboard, and graphic items rather
that plastic: LUXURY LINER, RESCUE (a children's game
where players have to get cargo off a ship before it sinks -
water rises, by moving a sheet of blue paper, whenever
certain cards are drawn - very rough idea - by Andy Luttig),
and WALK THE PLANK.
Jim mentioned that they don't want to overdo the "Don't" series.
I mentioned my wanting a review copy of LETTER PILE, but
that I wouldn't give a complete review of AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLER.<
He said he'd send me both as soon as they are in production.
To Kohner and gave the HARDHAT material to Harold Frankel.
