Rcd. April TOYS. Nothing new.
Rcd. a letter from Tony Mills in answer to mine on AGOG.
Call to Felicia. Told her that Schaper had seen FREE FORM,
PAIR OFF, and PUSHOVER last year. Bill Garrity liked them all
when he saw them, but in June they were returned with a
letter stating that they were good games but there are too
many strategy games on the market.
She suggested that she get SHAPE AND SHATTER back from
Harold Frankel to show to Schaper, but I said that I'd
bring the set with the plastic PCs. I also said I'd bring
EVEN WORSE.
Denis Ladoucer has a game ZIGGURAT which she'd like to show to
Schaper but she'd like to have me try it first. I'll be there
at 12 Wednesday to try the game with her and Denis.
Her new client Steve Radash (see 4/9) went to Brentano's to buy
SLEUTH. They were out of it - and couldn't care less. Felicia is afraid
that with Dorothy Shapiro gone things will go down hill there.
Dorothy is trying to find something with a game company - but is
having trouble since she doesn't want to relocate. Steve loves SLEUTH,
which he bought at Macy's.
To S.P.I. and gave Redmund my column for S & T #44. Got some
more of the colored circles from him. He'd like my next column
by 6/10 if possible.
He told me a lot about the upcoming ALPHA CENTAURI CAMPAIGN,
which he designed completely by himself.
Got the game IMPERIALISM from Howie Barasch. Also got an envelope
from Malcolm Gluck of "Intellect Games" with some ad material
and glossies of HARE AND TORTOISE, ELECTION, and STOCKBROKER.
(Duplicates of what I already have.)
From Sal got copies of S & T #42 and two of #43.
Made repros of my column in #43. Also made repros of the board
and cards for the game THE BALLET COMPANY GAME.
To R.G.I. returned THE BALLET COMPANY GAME to Bob Gellman. He
had another visitor and asked me to return in about half an hour.
Stopped at Mag-Nif. Jerry Goldstein wasn't there but I spoke to
the gal. The only thing of interest to me was TURNABOUT. She only
had one copy there but said she expected more. Asked me to come
