APRIL 1974 - WEDNESDAY 17
107TH DAY - 258 DAYS TO COME
Rcd. a note from Bernie Lane together with 2 copies
of "Salesman's OPPORTUNITY" and 1 copy of "SPARE TIME."
All in connection with his suggestion that I do a GAME on the
mail order business. (Later discarded.)
Rcd. a note from Tom (see 4/13): "I have not found that TIMES
book section re: Parker/Library etc., but I have more sources
to see if I can come up with it." (Discarded.)
Call from Felicia. Bill Garrity and Jim Rockwell will be at her
place on 4/24 @ 2:30 P.M. looking at items. So far she hasn't
heard a word about the things that Schaper is already looking
at - including my SPACE BOXES. She tried calling but couldn't
find anyone in to talk to.
I asked if she had any clue as to what they were looking
for - but all they sent her was a catalog. I mentioned PUSHOVER
and she said she wouldn't show anything that had already
been rejected. I pointed out how much Garrity had liked it last
year and, since their rejection was without comment, I feel
that I am entitled to ask why it was returned. She agreed.
We decided that I'd look over what they have seen, what I
have to show them, and get back to her Monday.
I said that the only thing she had of mine in her office
was THE 31ST HEX. She said I had taken it - but the diary
says no.
She spoke to Bob Johnson and he is going to Chicago to talk to
their ad agency about a promotion program. No plans for
a N.Y. visit definite yet, but he does sound quite cheer-
ful about the way things are progressing.
She forgot to ask him about SPECTRUM, but later sent
him a letter about it.
At Boston Post Road made copies of "Capital Gains"
material to send to Tom Atwater. Also copied the rules
for THE BALLET COMPANY GAME.
At Trootie's bought 2 each of the light cardboard in
yellow, blue, and green.
POST had an article on 4 GREAT TO DO books of adult
activities. Some are games, including STEAL THE SILVERBOARD
STEAL THE SILVERWARE, WINDOW WIT and 3 GAMES
played on newly designed board. [filed in '74 misc.]
Finished coloring the solutions for the SHAPE AND SHATTER puzzles.
Looked at the TIMES book section for February and March
in the local library. Couldn't find anything about
Parker/Library etc.
