APRIL 1974 - THURSDAY 11
MAUNDY THURSDAY - 101ST DAY - 264 DAYS TO COME

Proofread MACARTHUR rules and historical material.

Downtown. Stopped at "Gamut of Games." Phil Orbanes not in so
I told Carrie I'd try to come back later. My expansion
files were there so I took two of them.

To 200 Fifth. Stopped in at E.S. Lowe to see Mickie Mackey.
Terry Seymour told me that Mickie has been fired and that
she, Terry, was more or less taking her place. I said that
I was very sorry about Mickie, but that if I could be of any
help to Terry, please call on me. She said that she appreci-
ated my help in the past.
I asked and she said that Ira Mothner's COSMOPOLITAN
pc. is now scheduled for July.

To R.G.I. and gave the MACARTHUR material to Bob Gellman.
I asked about the advance and he said he'd try to get at least
a $100 to me within a week. I asked about royalty statements
and he said he shipped any PATTON or HOLIDAY so far this
year. With HOLIDAY all he intends to do is sell out the ones
manufactured. He will not reprint it.

Back to see Phil Orbanes. Took care of the accounting
form (see 4/3) and he will deliver a copy to Bob Reiss.
I asked and there is no hurry to pay the $9 for the expanding
files.

He told me a long story about Rand, David Isby,
Jim Dunnigan, and some mailing lists.

At Lowe I picked up a duplicate copy of the catalog I rcd.
on 4/3, in case Gini Scott ever answers me.

At R.G.I. there was an imitation bookshelf box with a game
THE BALLET COMPANY GAME. I asked Bob about it and he said a
gal brought it to him and asked him to put it out. He re-
fused, but allowed her to display it in his showroom. I took
the board, cards, and rules home to look at and return.

To S.P.I. Howie Barasch had left. Found a letter, dated 3/19/74,
addressed to me. It was from Richard F. Loomis of "Flying
Buffalo, Inc." and said sending a copy of the game
IMPERIALISM for review. Couldn't find the game. Left word
for Howie that I couldn't find any info on REVOLUCION.
Saw Sal and got 4 copies of S&T #43, 1 copy of MOVES #13,
a copy of THE MARNE, and a duplicate copy of AMERICAN REVOLUTION.
Sal asked me to tell Bob Champer, when I speak to him, to get in touch.
S&T #43 contains THE AMERICAN CIVIL WAR; mention of upcoming
games - an expansion module for WORLD WAR II, TANK, FRIGATE,
OPERATION OLYMPIC, ALPHA CENTAURI CAMPAIGN, and THIRD REICH (A.H.) [Avalon Hill];
a listing of 81 war games, ranked according [illegible strikeout] to feedback
results (Phil Orbanes said that they jacked up the S.P.I. ratings
by 5%); the listing of 160 non-war games that I prepared -
for this month's feedback questionnaire.
