APRIL 1974 - WEDNESDAY 3
93RD DAY - 272 DAYS TO COME

Rcd. [received] a letter from Bob Reiss of Hoi Polloi, with some questions from their accountants. Didn't think that I have the info. Called Phil Orbanes but he didn't call back.
Rcd. [received] a M.B. [Milton Bradley] and Lowe catalog. Mailing label says "Material Requested Through PLAYTHINGS" (??) [Filed in box with '74 [1974] catalogs and other material from Toy Fair.]

Called Bob Champer and got him in. Changed our date till a week from today since I am behind in writing the MACARTHUR rules. He offered to do all of the historical material, which I accepted with thanks.

Wrote to Kathy Brooks about SKYSCRAPERS.

Called Claude to call off our date for tomorrow, because of Dana's sickness. Told him I'd like to get together with him alone to talk. He'll call me back to set up a date.
Howard Wexler called to ask him where the chips were obtained - Claude had given him one of the boxes I had shared with him. Wexler asked how I was.
Claude got together with Earl yesterday to work on the HASBRO games - Wald couldn't make it because of family problems. Claude is doing the real estate GAM cartel GAME while Earl has ideas for the real estate GAME.

Call from Claude. We may get together next tomorrow afternoon.

Among some other info he got from S.P.I. was a feedback (on #42 S&T he thinks) with my column getting a 5.0. There is a note from Howie Barasch that this is the lowest it has been since #28, and it should be looked into.
Carl Eisenberg is out of Hoi Polloi. Phil thinks he may put in some money in Rand Games and take over.
Phil asked if I had rcd. [received] LEE VS. MEADE. Yes. Told him that I liked the movement treatment but not the CRT. He said that this sort of thing had been done before by A.H. [Avalon Hill] and S.P.I.

Called Fay Hartog to tell her that sickness had stopped me from working on the ideas for games as art.
Fabio Coen will be in Italy, on business, till the end of April. Hopefully I'll have something to show him by then.
Call from Anne Soucie. Claude went to HASBRO with Earl and Wald (she was pretty sure). Mitch Reid brought a check for only $2000 and said that he had only promised to try and get $5000. They refused to show him anything and he said he'd contact his superiors and get back to Claude.
