APRIL 1974 - MONDAY 1
91ST DAY - 274 DAYS TO COME

Sent MOVES #8 thru #13 to Don Miller.
Sent repros [reproductions] of GAMES WITH PENCIL & PAPER to Phil Cohen and Bill Rawlings.

Rcd. [received] letter from Keith Tuggle. Under separate cover he is sending a complete set of Paper Games: HEX, PLASM, 3 DIMENSIONAL TIC TAC TOE, NAVAL BATTLE, THORNS, NAB, [illegible strikeout] SNARE, and HEDRON.

Call from Felicia mainly to check on the results of my x-rays.
The fellow who did SPEED DASH!! sent Felicia a $100 retainer and is working on some changes she suggested. She has an extra copy which she'll give me when I come in.
Zena Gelman is no longer working with him since she had to move back east.
She has a new client who is a theatrical producer who has become fascinated with games. He brought her 3 GAMEs - one based on the theater, one a word game, and one a board strategy game using cards. She may take the latter since it is a little, but not too much, different.
He has heard of me and would like to meet me. He has a game group of his own and may be we can get them together.
She had a call from Keith Tuggle. A game she gave him at Toy Fair is missing. She has another copy, but didn't tell that to Keith.
I told her of the letter from Kathy Brooks on SKYSCRAPERS. She is sure it is the molds they want to cut down on.

Tried to call Julie Clardy. No answer.
Called Carter Hall and left word for Dick Landman to call me back. He did.
I asked and he said that CASINO CHESS was not ready yet. Also in the matter of adding new games they are standing pat right now. However I should call him at the end of the month and he might have something exciting.

Wrote to Roger Verhulst. Mentioned MONOPOLY, BACKGAMMON, ACQUIRE, STOCK MARKET GAME (A.H.) [Avalon Hill], Allister MacIntyre, Carol Peterson, CHICAGO TRIBUNE, GRAND RAPIDS PRESS, POLICE STATE.
Sent the clipping on "Hang-Gliding" to Jerry D'Arcey.

In evening working on a restructuring of SKYSCRAPERS. Using nine pcs. [pieces] with four quadrants in each couldn't come up with less than 6 different molds.

Call from Claude. Finalized the details on our Thursday date. He hasn't heard from Howard Wexler. I told Claude that I'd hold up on showing INTERSECTION to Wexler, but I'd show him STEPPING STONES and another game for the "Coffee Break Series."
