3 SUNDAY - MARCH 1974
FIRST SUNDAY IN LENT - 62ND DAY - 303 DAYS TO COME

Getting some of the new games I picked up lately onto shelves.
At a bazaar BB picked up a hardwood copy of TIC-TAC-TOE for 50¢.
At my folks played a little of AD-LIB CROSSWORD CUBES, which my
cousin Julie and his wife brought along.

sideration. Incidentally Wexler made LOTUS into a competitive
game, but still based on guessing right.
Wald said that Wexler, Strongin, and someone he had tried to
do children's games for - without success - all say that the coming
thing in games are themes that lend themselves to lines of as-
sociated games.
I asked what Wexler had done. Outside of the things I knew already,
the only other they [illegible strikeout] knew of was Hasbro's THE GREAT ESTATE.
Bob said that he was showing EPAMINONDAS to Games Research. I
was surprised considering how they had done with
WHAT'S THAT ON MY HEAD? He said that they had gotten it into
a lot of stores and it wasn't their fault that it didn't sell.
Wald said that now he was interested in games that were
commercial and feels that doing a good job on a commercial
game is just as worthwhile as doing a "pure" game. Bob said that
he still wants to do what he wants to do.

is also a partnership version for 4. There are two version sets - the
plastic for $3 retail and a larger wood for $6. She gave me an ad
sheet and Jock Poole's address to right write for a review copy.
To R.G.I. Bob Gellman wasn't there. I told Stan that I've have the
rules for MACARTHUR ready by the end of March, unless I heard
otherwise from Bob.
To Mickie Mackey. Took 3 copies of the M.B. [Milton Bradley] new game folder - one for Gini.
Gave her the promo sheets that Roger Verhulst once sent me.

Returned the games FAMILION and OBJECTIF EPARGNE to Jim Dunnigan
(after having transcribed all the info on them at home in the morning).
Took copies of PURSUIT! and SHIFTY CHECKERS which Aurora sent there.
