To Felicia. She read over the rules for FOREIGN INTRIGUE and then
packed it and brought it to her neighbor for U.P.S. pickup.
She rcd. a package from Hallmark with 2 copies each of CUBITS,
THE RIGHT CONNECTIONS, and FITTING & PROPER. She kept the first an
took mine, the other three, which Bob Johnson was supposed to send me
as review copies, were not included.
She thinks she may sell DYNAMITE - seret [secret?] company.
She asked Keith Tuggle about BAZAAR and he told her that it might
be repackaged and reissued. I said that I had some possible im-
provements and I'll write to Keith about them.
Al Stack of Skor-Mor is interested in Alan Newman's
NFL FRANCHISE OWNER because - rather than despite - Parker's
PRO DRAFT.
She presently has 21 things out for consideration including 6 of
mine: SPECTRUM, POP-SHAPE-AND SHATTER, TAKE-A-WORD, SPACE,
TRAVELINE, and FOREIGN INTRIGUE.
To Phil Orbanes. Gave him the 3M press kit and the Kohner
catalog. The thing he was interested in in the Pressman catalog was
on "Auto-BACKGAMMON" set, since Hoi-Polloi is interested
in one. Told him I'd mail him the page.
He had all the D.D.I. games and puzzles and I looked through
them. The only games I haven't seen are DIET and E.S.P. He said they
were bad and I'll look at them some other time.
Phil gave me the mailing for "Rand Game Associates" (Isby, Zygier, etc.)
Mentioned their "Command Series Games" including LEE VS. MEADE,
SARATOGA-1777, THE FIRST BLITZKRIEG-CAMBRAI, 1917,
NAPOLEAN - THE LAST CAMPAIGNS, 1814-1815, with more to come.
(Filed in Phil Orbanes folder.)
"Gamut of Games" may be dissolved with Phil moving back to Reiss as
the new product manager. Carl Eisenberg was baited into quitting
in front of everyone. Reiss will not be looking at any more
new things for publication this year. I took back the following
of my models: SKYSCRAPERS, EVEN WORSE (with one pc. missing),
THE WORM TURNS (rules are missing, if I had them), SLIDEWORD
(no rules), GROOVE, TOGETHERNESS (no rules).
Took ten more of the small cardboard boxes.
Took back the rules, etc. of the following p&p games: WILDCAT,
SPECULATE, EMPIRE, SPACE STATIONS, THE GREAT RACES, HEXWORD,
TRIVIA, THE MISSING LINK, LAND BARON (Phil's).
To S.P.I. Gave S&T col. #43 to Redmund. Next one due on
4/22. Redmund gave me a sheet with style changes. (Filed in S&T misc.)
