FEBRUARY 1974 - FRIDAY 22
53RD DAY - 312 DAYS TO COME
Called Steve Brodie (see 2/18) to check about the "Intell-
ect Games" he is sending me. In the next few days he will
get CABBIE, STOCKBROKER and either FRENCH CHATTER or
SPANISH CHATTER to me. THE HARE AND THE TORTOISE wouldn't be
ready for several months. He was going to send me other items
but I said that they were out of my line. We left it that he would
contact me about having someone drop them off here on their way home
on Hutchinson Pkway.
Rcd. the letter from Graeme Levin (see 2/21). It asked me to
send 2 copies of AGOG to [bracket drawn] Tony Mills
[bracket drawn] Thomas Nelson & Sons, Ltd.
[bracket drawn] 36 Park St.
[bracket drawn] London W1Y 4DE
1 airmail and 1 surface.
He asked about sales in Canda Canada.
He said that ESCAPE FROM COLDITZ CASTLE is not the same
as by Invicta as the one by Parker of England.
He is sending me CONFRONTATION and THE HARE AND THE TORTOISE,
both of which were developed by G&P.
In bed thinking of games that I can develop for the various
possible manufacturers - not new ideas but those that I have
put aside. DATA possibly under the name BINARY BINGO and
using 6 holes to get 64 numbers. TANGRAMS, possibly under the
name TRANGAME. Also how about TAM-BIT, probably with new name.
(cont. from 2/21) [2/19]
handled them since last year.
- Cardinal and Transogram. Only standards.
To S.P.I. Jim Dunnigan in conference so just took some copies of
S&T #38, 40, and 42.
Rcd. PLAYTHINGS (Feb.) same as the one picked up at Toy Fair.
Rcd. TOYS (Feb.) Nothing I haven't seen.
Rcd. letter from Allan Calhamer about his NAVAL GAME.
At 200 Fifth Ave. Stopped at Parker's to have the secretary repro-
duce the two patents on PIT type games and gave the repros to
Randy Barton.
Took a copy of their house newspaper FUN & GAMES (Feb. Jan '74).
Had long article of a discussion between Randy Barton, Marvin Glass,
and two others.
