3 SUNDAY - FEBRUARY 1974
FOURTH SUNDAY AFTER EPIPHANY - 34TH DAY - 331 DAYS TO COME
Put numbers on the game shelves, downstairs and upstairs.
In the TV news there was a piece about a big SCRABBLE tourna-
ment conducted by the N.Y.C. park dept.
(cont. from 2/5) [2/5]
Said that they are changing their thinking about it - even
the vice presidents are --- (and then Felicia cut him off, as
she did many times in the call).
In case there is an future questions concerning royalties
the one to contact is [drawn bracket]Julie Clardy

I mentioned my column in S&T and he said that he reads it
often. He'll send me review copies of PENTOMINOES, MOEBIES,
and SWEEP. I also asked for some extra copies of FITTING & PROPER
and THE RIGHT CONNECTIONS and he said he'd send those too.
He won't be in for Toy Fair but he will make it towards the
end of February and we will get together.
Felicia heard from Dorothy Shapiro that "Aladdin" was going into
adult games (they now do School Bags and Luggage). Felicia called
their New York office and they hadn't heard anything about it.
Back to "Gamut" and picked up the last two expanding files and quite a
few of the small cardboard boxes, but forgot my three items.

Called and asked me to call back. Did. They are discussing a pos-
sible deal with 3M for K.K.E. to supply GALAXY GAZER and 3M to dis-
tribute it. Bill Tyler suggested that I might be able to give him some
idea about 3M's distribution. Told him some general figures on ACQUIRE
and said that I hear that FACTS IN FIVE does a lot better. Also
mentioned what I have heard about A.H.'s [Avalon Hill] sales figures.
He thanked me. Also said that he wants to look at my games once
they are in position to expand. I mentioned Felicia and he said that
he had met her.
At "International House of Pancakes" got a copy of their children's game
PASSPORT. The method of movement - 2 colors on some of the cards -
gave me an idea for a strategy GAME. A quadrille board has a ran-
domized set up of different colors in the spaces. There are cards with
different colors. A pc. moves in a straight line to the first space of
one card's color. Then can turn and go to the color of another card, Etc.
(To be worked out.)
Felicia showed me Hans Goldschmidt's game SPIDER. It is a kid's game with
an expensive gadget that really doesn't do anything. She asked my
opinion and I told her.
