FEBRUARY 1974 - SATURDAY 2
GROUNDHOG DAY - PRESENATION OF THE LORD - 33RD DAY - 332 DAYS TO COME

Rcd. statement for ODD OR EVEN, TEMPO, INTERPLAY,
and TRANSFORMATION for 4th quarter '73. $43.93 (to me)
$4.88 (to Tom)
$48.81 (total)
Also letter from Tom Atwater. Mentioned
DOZO and TRANSFORMATION and foreign rights for both.
High hopes for my HIT THE JACKPOT.
He found 3M 4th quarter quite distressing
P.S. on envelope that "Hush-Hush" project (Parker adult) is shelved for
at least a year.

Discovered that we had two dates for 2/16 - the Sapersteins and
the Bredehorns. Called George Bredehorn and changed date to
2/17 (Sunday before Washington's birthday).

Playing around a little with my action GAME of pushing three
magnets. It might be a good idea to put obstacles in the paths.

when they move to a new, larger building. I mentioned that
a university on the west coast is interested in my collection
and he seemed quite interested and made some notes. I said
that I'd prefer to keep it on the east coast if possible. He
invited me to visit their archives anytime.
G & R. Met Michael Bank, Peter Pearce's partner at Synestructics.
Gave him my review of NETRESULTS, GREATSHAPES,
and SNOWCRYSTALS. Told him that I'd do an expanded review of
NETRESULTS and he gave me a copy of it and GREATSHAPES.
Also took a catalog. Nan Bimblick. Ron Sokolec of Franklin
Merchandising called and asked for my address (apparently he lost
my card). Gave Nan my address. They had nothing new there outside of
the things by Franklin Merchandising.
Louis Marx. Just looked in and they only have target games.
Kontrell. They have a number of standards packaged to look
very much like the 3M standards. They still have SHIFT and
21 LETTERS on display, but I didn't see NINETY SEVEN or
the other original batch.
To Press Room and took the following catalogs plus a lot for Philo : -
Skor-Mor. CREATE-A CUBES - imitation SOMA, other knock-offs,
INSTANT INDECISION, NITTY GRITTY, DEAD HEAT, MOD QUAD,
FLIPPIN' GAME, SKY HIGH - imitation BLOCKHEAD, RIGHT ON,
THE PETER PRINCIPLE GAME, PRIME TIME, YESTERYEAR, (but not
ARCHIEBALL), and FIVE STRAIGHT.
3M. The 1973 catalog and pictures of the packages of the
8 "paper games". - NAVAL BATTLE, HEX, SNARE, HEDRON,
3 DIMENSIONAL TIC TAC TOE, PLASM, NAB, THORNS.
Synergistics Research Corp. Nothing on games.
Westland Physics. GOLD RUSH.
E.S. Lowe. Releases on CHECKERS (saying that it is older than CHESS)
and BACKGAMMON. (Discarded.)
