CONVERSION OF ST. PAUL - 25TH DAY - 340 DAYS TO COME

Bob Champer here with his two scenarios for
MACARTHUR. Played "New Guinea" a few times. Then
played my "Bataan" once - making some adjustments as
we went along. Finally played "Landing at Inchon." All
worked quite well. Bob will come again next Wednesday.

Call from Alan Newman. Made date for him and his wife to
come for supper next Wednesday. He'll pick up Felicia.
Call from Judy Granger of COSMOPOLITAN magazine
(telephone 262-7926). She asked me to confirm come
of the things Ira Mothner wrote about me in his article
(such as ACQUIRE selling about 50,000 copies a year). She
asked the games I have had published and I told her about
ACQUIRE, EXECUTIVE DECISION, VENTURE, SLEUTH, MONAD,
HOLIDAY, PATTON, FITTING & PROPER, and THE RIGHT CONNECTIONS.
She asked about TIDDELY WINKS and TIDDELY WINKS TENNIS.
Mothner had listed these as being popular in the 1890's and I
thought the latter might be later. Told her that I'd loo
check on it and call her back if Mothner was wrong. (Looked
at 90 YEARS OF FUN and they were listed there.)

Rcd. a glossy of POLICE STATE.
Played 6-hand FOREIGN INTRIGUE with the Horn's, including
Laurie and Susan. It worked o.k. even tho the girls, partic-
ularly Laurie, were a little hazy at first. Barbara won and
everyone liked it.
The Horns gave me a book they had been given:-
CHESS OPENINGS: THEORY AND PRACTICE.

Claude called in the morning to cancel out date tonight. Anne
had a bad cold. Called him in the evening and spoke for
a while. Nothing specifically about games except that I
told him about buying the "Lego" subs. and cubes yesterday.

Bob Champer mentioned that he and some others were working
on some war GAMEs that would will be much better as games
that the S.P.I. series. Didn't go into details and I didn't
press him.

BB bought 10 more of the 5¢ plastic boxes at Job Lot.
