18TH DAY - 347 DAYS TO COME

The stand with the 12 bins that I ordered from Sears came. Put it together and put it top of the sh metal shelves in game room. Rearranged some games and papers to make use of it.

Rcd. [received] call from {Donald Cohen {[address and telephone number] He has a copy of AGOG and is interested in joing N.Y.G.A. I told him that it was a "formal name for a very informal group of game inventors." However if we ever take in non- inventor "members" I will contact him.
He took the course on game given by Laurence Russ of at the New School. He believes that Russ once contacted me with a question, but I can't remember it.
Donald met Wald and was at one of their open houses before Arthur died. He doesn't have Wald's present telephone number and I offered to give it to him, but he said if he really wants it he'll call me again.

Called off date with Claude because of the threat of icy driving conditions.
Call from Dorothy Bredehorn made date for them to come here on 2/16.

Call from Bob Champer. Date for 1/25. He'll come here and we'll spend the day working on MACARTHUR.

TIME Magazine had an article on John Horton Conway's LIFE. Also mentioned Martin Gardner. (Filed in '74 misc. [1974 miscellaneous])

Rcd. [received] an invite from Zeke Rose to see the Ideal line at Toy Fair, with a card giving my preferred date, to be returned.
Rcd. [received] a letter from Hanley L. Sachs about POLICE STATE. He wants permission to use some of my quotes in an ad brochure he is preparing. He is toying with the idea of a game called CAPITALIST-FASCIST.

Carter Hall is primarily a premium outfit but they did well with THREE PLAYER CHESS and might be interested in more game. Told him a little about LOTTERY. He said to contact him at the end of February about about showing it and other games.

From my father's called Phil Orbanes and brought up that since Reiss may not be doing a second batch of p&p games, maybe wil we can submit them to 3M. Told him we'd split the royalties, after Felicia gets her 25%. He'll check with Mannie.

BB got call from Felicia. Something about Alan Newman's p&p games.
