JANUARY 1974 - TUESDAY 15
MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. BORN 1929 - 15TH DAY - 350 DAYS TO COME
Call from Felicia. She had a long talk with Bob Johnson. He
said we could work under the assumption that he will be in
the first week in February. Discussed things of mine to show him:
FOREIGN INTRIGUE, THE BRAIN GAME, the action GAME (with
pushing magnets) if I can have it ready. She said that he is
interested in a war game. I suggested INVASION and she
said that Hallmark had already rejected it (I later checked the
diary and it was returned with the comment that they
might be interested in it sometime in the future - see 7/28/66).
Bob didn't like SPECTRUM but is showing it to the others for
further testing.
She got very little for BALI for the 4th quarter. They ran
out of stock, for their other games too.
She called Keith. Away from his deck and she asked the secre-
tary to have him call back - at her expense. He didn't.
Call from Felicia while I was out. Left word with Dana that
Keith had called. I'm to call her tomorrow.
Call from Claude. Tentative date to go there Fr Call from Claude.
Tentative date to go there Friday.
(cont. from 1/16) [1/16]
THE DOT GAME to Keith Tuggle (3rd class - 69¢).
Called Claude and set up date to go there Friday evening.
Claude called in evening to say that he was meeting Wald at Macy's toy
dept. tomorrow (last week the weather cancelled the meeting). Told Claude
that I'd like to come, but couldn't spare the time.
(cont. from 1/17) [1/17]
Call from Mr. Cirker of Dover Publications. I said that I had
been expecting to hear from him and he said he was sorry he
had taken so long getting back to me. He asked if AGOG was
out of print and I told him that I was trying to find out. He
said that he'd have one of his men check with Castle and
he'll call me on 1/21. If it is out of print he suggests that I
write to Random House requesting return of the rights. This
may get Castle to republish - or I'll get the rights. If I do
Mr. Cirker will make me an offer that I may or may
not accept.
Finished indexing the 1973 diary - which I have been working
FOURTH PAYMENT LAST YEAR'S INCOME TAX DUE
on for some time.
