He'd like that info from GAMES WITH PENCIL AND PAPER.

BB typed a new sheet with TAKE-A-WORD rules and I got a
copy on 4th Ave.

To Felicia, Alan Newman joined us. Looked at the following
games of his:
RIGHT ANGLES. There are 20 pcs, as shown in the diagram. As a
puzzle the idea is to fit the pcs. together to form a square.
There are many ways this can be done. The
[drawing of RIGHT ANGLES puzzle] diagram shows a symmetrical solution.
As a game the pcs. are divided between the
two players. One takes the pcs. with more red
triangles, the other with more yellow triangles
- where there are an odd number of triangles,
each also takes one each of these [triangle drawings] pcs.
Players play one pcs pc. at a time in a growing
configuration. Players try to keep as many tri-
angles of their own together as possible and at
the same time separate the opponents. When all pcs. have
been placed, each group scores the square of the number of
triangles in the group.
Felicia felt that this looked familiar. I remembered that it
had a similar appearance to a series put out by Mattel several
years ago, but the play is not like similar at all.
NFL FRANCHISE OWNER (National Fruitball League---). Players get cards
representing football players. They have salaries on them, and also
strength numbers, and all are different colors. Up to six can
play and six different teams are given. If less that six are
playing the unused teams play in an automatic manner.
The games are played in a definite order around the board.
When a game is played each team has a strength based on
the number total of the strength numbers. Also the player adds
1 point for each card same color as his franchise color. Also if two
or more cards are same color they add to the strength. Finally each
player has a set of "extra effort cards." He chooses one for each
game and that number is added to the strength. Any "extra effort
cards" not used are worth money at the end of the season, so in
effect their use represents a bonus to the players.
Each game has a set "box office" which is shared by the two
teams. Also if a player has a "Super Star" (a player with a salary
of $75,000 or more) the "box office" is increased for each one in the
game.
Record of wins and ties is kept to get the winner for the season.
Then [illegible strikeout] half the unused cards are put up for a draft before
the 2nd season, and the rest before the 3rd season. Special
