Letter from Gini Scott. She is sending another copy of
SIMULATION/GAMING/NEWS. She asked for Tom Atwater's
address (she said Tom Atwood). She asked me to send her cata-
logs from Toy Fair.

STOCKS AND BONDS were selling well in L.A.

Reiner
who, among other things, was is credited with setting up
the game line at Ideal, and working on SKITTLE BINGO and
TENSION.
"Showcase/Toys" has piece on EQUATIONS; SUPER CRIBBAGE by
Stancraft; BUSINESS STRATEGY; HIT RECORD TRIVIA, a quiz game

To S.P.I. Fairly long, relaxed talk with Jim D.. Told him that I wanted
a set of the new packaged games for posterity. At first he said
that that was a lot of games but then that they definitely should
be in the collection. Told him I'd take a couple at a time.
He said that they were selling well at retail but they didn't
make too much there. However, retail sales generate mail order
sales since no store keeps a complete inventory. At the sugges-
tion of their retailer distributer they raised the retail price
of the games by $1 so that they can now discount mail order.
He had a game, AFRICAN CAMPAIGN. Jim said it was warmed-
over AFRIKA KORPS and not as good. He gave me a catalog of the
Australia company putting it out - Jedko. They also sell S.P.I.
and A.H. games.
Spoke to Redmund. Asked when he wants my next column - in
6 weeks (2/18/74). I asked for and he gave me 3 sheets of 35
each of blue circle [illegible strikeout] self-stick pcs. - (to use to identify
the shelves. But there are not enough to use them for boxes too).
From Sal took copies of the following games:- AUSTERLITZ (which
was not dropped - it was left off the list by error), 1812, [illegible strikeout]
LA GRANDE ARMEE, LEE MOVES NORTH, FRANCO-PRUSSIAN WAR &
WILDERNESS CAMPAIGN.
Also took 2 copies each of S&T #40 and #41, and 3 copies
of MOVES #11.

To "Gamut of Games." Left the 6 games with Carrie. The only one I still have
to get for Phil is AMERICAN REVOLUTION.
Took 3 of the "expanding files" which was all I could conveniently carry.
There was a boxed game there - CONQUEST. Carrie ran off copies
of the rules, a picture of the board, and some puzzles. I copied
the pcs. (Filed in Phil Orbanes folder.)
Asked Carrie to have Phil call me tomorrow. Told her I'd contact
her before coming for the other 3 "expanding files."
At Norswood bought 500 - blank business cards for $5.67, plus tax.
