4 FRIDAY - JANUARY 1974
4TH DAY - 361 DAYS TO COME

Call from Carrie of "Gamut of Games." The expanding files are in. I'll pick them up Monday, even though Phil Orbanes won't be in till Tuesday.

Rcd. [received] the CRESCENDO CHESS pieces, with the rules.

B.B. gave me the 1972-1973 MAH JONGG hands. (I'll have to find some place to keep small items like this.)

Wrote to Harley Sachs concerning POLICE STATE.
Wrote Michael Dummett. Asked for missing pages from REGLEN DES MINCHIATTA SPIELS, and the other books if he could get to them. Offered to send him copies of S&T.

Rcd. [received] check from Hoi Polloi for $2,852.63 for Sept. thru Dec. '73 [December 1973] for the p&p games - WORDPLAY, etc.

Randy Barton told me today that they were going to be pushing PIT this year. He thought that it was patented in the 1920's I told him it was earlier and that I'd bring him the info probably next week. Found the following 2 patents: 746,492 (1903) and 755,243 (1904).

Call from Phil Orbanes. He'd like the Kohner Pressman, and Mag-Nif catalogs. Told him Mag-Nif doesn't have a new one but I'll try to get the others. He'll try to get an answer from Manny on the p&p games so that I can talk to Keith Tuggle.
