3RD DAY - 362 DAYS TO COME

Call from Felicia. Told her of the PATTON and HOLIDAY
checks to her and Ruth.
Told Felicia of Keith Tuggle's interest in THE DOT GAME and
that he might be interested in SHAPE & SHATTER. She said
maybe I'm right, even if she is down on 3M right now.
PUSHOVER and THE 31ST HEX came back from Hallmark. The
boxes are a little beat up but the insides seem o.k.
I suggested sending FOREIGN INTRIQUE to Bob Johnson if
he won't be coming in during January. She wants to lure him
into coming to New York.
2nd call from Felicia. She wants to give Al Mr. Stubbman at Kohner
one last call before giving up on them. She asked the names
of the games we had shown him: POP, SHAPE, AND SHATTER,
OVER 'N OVER, PAIR OFF, and ECLIPSE.
She is going to contact Stan Harfenist - or at least will
try - about 3D BOXES. If that doesn't work out she was
thinking about [illegible strikeout] Schaper. I suggested Aurora.
During the first call I mentioned the article in DIVERSION
magazine. She'd like a copy of that and also SLEUTH in G&P.
I'll probably go there sometime next week.
Rcd. a letter from Warren Buell. He'd like HOLIDAY. His
wife gave him RSVP for x'mas. He subscribed to G&P.
He sent me several clippings:
BACKGAMMON in the Middle East, including mention of a
variation in which captured pcs. are carried along. Also
gives TRIC TRAC and TOWLEH (table) as alternative names.
BACKGAMMON craze in L.A.
Rules for KALAHA and KONANE in SUNSET magazine for
March 1973.

An article from "Popular Computing" June '73 on a problem called
FOURWAY which Warren thought had game possibilities. Started
thinking of one with possible name EXIT.
Call from Bob Champer. Told him that I didn't get a chance to read
up on MACARTHUR yet. Asked him to call me on 1/11 to set up a
date for the following week.
Told him of his PATTON check and took his address to mail it
