for an expensive line of gambling type games - if accepted.
Alex has two games from last year with Ravensburger - BANDA (OFF COURSE) and a children's game. This year he has five new ones :- CORONA (ROUND THE CLOCK), HEPTA, QUARO (SPOTS), ISHI, KANGAROO (TOP DOG).
Alex sent Tom a lot of German catalogs which Tom will loan me after he studies them. There are a lot of games that look as if they are abstract/strategy. Some of them:
"Ravensburger" - SIXO, DOMICOLOR, MIRACLE as well as Alex'.
"F.X. Schmid" (Vereinigte Munchener Spielkarten - Fabriken KG., 8 Munchen - Residenzstrusse 27 - Postanschrift: 8 Munchen 1) - TRICOLOR, PAGODE, XERXES, LASKA, CRISSCROSS, CARAMBA, SAMURAI, TRADE, SNIFF, GAMBLE, REVANCHE, DUAL, LEGRAND, DIE BURGERMEISTER, DOLCEVITA, BOSS IN DER BANK, TWINGO.
"Schmidt" - BLUFF, KERFELL, DIPLOMATIE, SPECULATION, BANKROTT DELUXE, PARTNERTEST, WER IST WER?, ORDINO, CHECK-POINT, ZINGELN, ALLIANZ.
"Selecta" - DOZO (Alex), NEUN FREUNDE.
"Brohm-Spielwaren" - DEFI! (SQUARE OFF), AUSGETRICKST, TRICK X 5, DER 7 SINN.
"Klee Spiele" - CONTRA, TORNADO, MOTOCROSS.
Tom has agre an agreement with Ravensburger that he won't give any of Alex' games to a company that they consider competitive. But he can show any other inventor's games to anyone.
Tom feels that Alex has pretty much filled up Ravensburger with abstract strategy games but there are a lot of other companies. I told him about Stancraft closing out my games. He'll see about getting back the rights. At the time of Stationary Show he'll visit and I'll show him things.
Tom showed me a little of a game, BEYOND WORDS, by a new client. It has pcs. of wood that are moved around a board, in quadrille spaces, to form letters then words. Seemed very complicated to me but it was original. Tom wanted to check the latter and agreed with me on the former. Tom's 3 Springbok games sold from 18,000 to 24,000.

Call from Felicia. She spoke to Harold Frankel to day. He tried his best to get an answer from the V.P. but he doesn't want to do anything until Toy Fair was over. He asked for permission to keep POP-SHAPE-AND SHATTER for another two weeks. He is sure that they'll take no more than one, so Felicia asked me to pick them up tomorrow morning.
Felicia asked me to get her the Ideal, Playschool, and Fisher-Price catalogs.

At the Fair picked up copy of TOYS TRADE NEWS (2/17/74). Ansen Isaacson is taking over as head of Marvin Glass. Pc. on a game YOU CHEAT, put out by John Ladell Co., 422 North Liberty St., Canton, Miss. 39046

Dana at Macy's in New Rochelle saw the Springbok games, FITTING & PROPER, etc. on sale for $3.95. (Which Felicia later said means that we're out of Macy's.)
